Review from Francesca K.
Edmonton, AB
This was my optometrist center for years until 2 incidents.
I had gone in for a contact lens check one day and everything looked fine. Two days later I had developed pink eye.
I called up my optometrist again and booked an appointment to meet him for a diagnosis. He looked at my eye and confirmed it was pink eye. I know how crazy contagious pink eye is, so I was very careful about always washing my hands and being careful about what I touched. My eye doctor ran his hands under water for 5 seconds after touching my gross contagious eye and then walked out of the office.
Who knows if he went and washed his hands out in the other area or not (there was soap and hand towels available at the first station though) and I can't attest to anything that happened afterwards, but I was grossed out enough to never return.
A couple months later, I wanted to order glasses online and so I called them for my prescription. They refused to give me the information! She said she would charge me $50 to just read the chart to me over the phone! I was so annoyed, but she said that any eye doctor would charge that much and this were standard. Well... I refused to pay and I called Lenscrafters and they said to come on down and they would tell me my prescription on the spot, no charge.
Calgary Trail Vision Center totally failed in my books.
