Finally a place to get excellent Italian deli style sandwiches, and these are legit Italian subs, reminds me of the east coast where there's one on every block, but out here this is a gem. The meat selection is superb you could have a salami for each day of the week! bread is fresh sandwiches are stuffed, and prices are fair. the guys running the place are great too very friendly and attentive.
the three way is probably the best thing i have put in my mouth, i just had to say that... sounds dirty
I will definitely be here frequently! -

The Excelsior was reeling from the loss of Sorrento's. No longer. This Italian deli outdoes Sorrento's. Amazing service, even better sandwiches, which I myself would have called sacrilege not long ago.
Got a turkey and swiss on a roll. That type of sandwich never tends to be surprisingly good. This one was. For sure. Service was incredible. I hope this place is around for a long, long time. -

I was strolling through the neighborhood yesterday looking for a tasty lunch I could bring home on the bus with me..
I LOVE sandwiches, and seeing a 'Grand Opening' sign and people milling about, I decided to pop into this deli with it's fun sign.
I stared into the clean space, and after a minute, I was offered help from behind the counter near the entrance. Was this one of the Brothers? Maybe.
I ordered the 'Calabria Bros' sandwich, without any changes..
He was very nice and my sandwich was ready quickly. I was caught examining the candy when he called out to me, and told me I could take my time looking around, there was a lot to see.
I decided on the fruit pectin candies for after my sandwich.. and went to pay for my order. I love that my sandwich was wrapped in butcher paper and secured with butcher tape.
The pasta salads in the deli case caught my eye..and I was offered a sample. I declined, figuring if it was good, I'd eat too much food.. =o)
The sandwich was WOW..
Huge sandwich for $8.. Great taste and chewy sourdough bread!!
Really nice service, clean, open space. (Tables to sit and eat at, and Italian groceries to buy too)
I will be back to try the pasta salad.. and another sandwich! -

Welcome The Calabria Bros to the Excelsior!! Nice to have an italian deli back in the neighborhood. Meats are top notch, and sliced just right.

Finally made it in here yesterday, regret having waited. They are so friendly and attentive, the place is spotless too. I got the sandwich with sun dried tomatoes, roast turkey and ham on a wheat hard roll, yes "wheat" hard roll. It was fantastic, I swear it must have weighed 5 pounds. Everything in the deli/salad case looked so tempting, but I will return. They have a nice assortment of grocery type items as well that they are expanding daily. This is a wonderful and welcome addition to the neighborhood. I can't wait to get back there!

Awesome sandwiches! I highly recommend "The Dan" and the Foccacia. Also, their imported prosciutto is the best I've ever tasted. This deli is a great addition to the neighborhood.

I have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years. My kids grew up going to Sorrento. We even came when it was owned by non-italians. Then when they left, we were devastated. Then I drive by and see Calabria Bros. in this location. The sandwiches were the best ever, and the service was wonderful. I will be back and I recommend this to anyone driving through. At last! Thank you Calabria Bros.
