Everything about this place is fab.  I go here at least once/week to satisfy my scone with devonshire cream and cappuccino craving! I have no complaints about this place.  Everything I have tried on the menu has been delicious.  I am so grateful to have Cake Town Cafe in my neighbourhood!

This is an attractive cafe with a well chose selection of pastries and light lunches.  A few of their pastries are gluten free.

My wife and I both had the "Double Cheddar Paninis", with tomato and chutney.  They were quite tasty, but I wasn't crazy about the whole wheat bread item they were served on.  It might have been a ciabatta, but it was shaped like a hamburger bun.

My wife gave the thumbs up to her Chai Latte, and my double shot (espresso) latte was pretty good, but not particularly well crafted.  Too hot and too much foam.  They get their beans custom roasted by Savoury Grounds (on Kingston Rd.).

An attractive new addition to the neighbourhood, between Woodbine and East Lynn Park.  Check out Better Bulk, almost next door.  http://www.yelp.ca/biz...

So, this place needs some tunage to fill up the air, because if you go with anyone, your conversation really fills the space. That being said, the baked goods look delicious, and taste even better. Their soup is great and homemade. Ask for bread on the side, and you receive the most delicious triangle shaped foccaccia yumminess. Staff are friendly, and helpful.

How much of a coffee snob am I?  Sooo much that I actually roast my own beans every couple of days.  So I usually just grin and bare it when i have coffee out.  But Cake Town has really excellent coffee.  They also have scones that are so good, I now like scones.   People are very nice and the place is comfortable.  I love it here.

To be honest I've never been a scone person - I always thought they were too dry and lacking in flavour. However - I heard good things about Cake Town Cafe (which is right next to Cozy Cafe but an entirely different experience) and their ritzy scones. So a friend and I rolled the strollers in and parked them next to the comfy couches in the front then indulged in a tea and scones. I got the almond scone - Oh. My. God. PUT IT IN MY MOUTH AGAIN!

Seriously it was everything in me not to order 4 more of them to take home. It was fantastic.

They also have a really popular pear scone that I'm going to try next and some gluten-free goodies too.

Oh - and they apparently do a tea service there for a really reasonable price. TEA! So basically what they're saying is they want me to move in to the cafe. I'm packing my bag now!

In recent months, I've developed an instiable love for scones! yummmmm
and when I heard this new charming spot on The Danny near Woodbine Avenue was serving fresh, homemade ones, I just had to check it out.

I had the chance to pass by Cake Town Cafe this past Sunday morning and couldn't resist sampling a super yummy pear and candied ginger scone accompanied by a nice small coffee with a shot of cinnamon flavour.

Aside from the tasty baked goods and lunch items, the space is also quite inviting with pale blue walls, couches in the front and tables for sitting. A great spot to come with friends or for some reading time.
The owners (a young couple from South Africa) and staff are friendly. knowledgeable and welcoming.
Lots of young families popped in while I was there so not necessarily a place for quiet or intense study time but more of a community space where you can meet your neighbours and make new friends.

I'll be going back very soon!
