I've underestimated the value of Cafe Barney!
I hadn't realized it was so very cute and classy inside, having passed by the patio so many times and thinking it's just another burger and beer type place. Noooo!

Cozy on up to the bar and try this new drink called "Sweet Cheeks" It's like a mini vacation in a glass! A Mojito-styled drink with crushed strawberries and basil. I'd describe it as much fun as a happy face balloon :) go on, try it!

You know what i sorta love? Feeling hungry and snacky too late at night to get a meal, but being hungry early enough that you can justify getting a DELICIOUS caesar and calling it a caesar salad. At 10pm last week this is exactly the predicament i was in, and the caesar at Cafe Barney totally delivered! Not only was it the perfect size to quell my hunger pains, but it tasted really NEAT and was super unique! Rather than the usual pickled bean or stalk of celery it was garnished with a slice of pickled beet (YUM!!) and the coup de gras was that there was not only vodka in my caesar, but Guinness as well! It made for a really robust drink. Not too spicy, not too tangy, but very full tasting and VERY satisfying!!

I love it when places make a great caesar and i love it when places have a twist on the typical caesar, but i ADORE IT when places make a great caesar with a twist!!

Went to this place for a friend's birthday. It was a last resort as the other places we wanted to go in the area were completely full.

I used to frequent the Caffe Barney on Granville when I lived in South Granville, so I assume this restaurant will be very similar, but I was wrong.

Our server, to her credit, was pleasant enough and professional. We were a big group coming in last minute and she did a great job seating us and serving us given the circumstances.

I only had a few beers and they were fine. Some of my friends had cocktails and they looked alright. Although they used crushed ice in the Old Fashioned instead of big ice cubes.

My food was very disappointing. The food menu is smaller at this Main location than the Granville location, so I just picked the BBQ ribs. It was probably the worst ribs I've ever had anywhere (including Swanson TV dinners). The meat was completely tasteless, and the BBQ sauce did nothing to fix it.

I have had a lot of friends tell me that they really like Caffe Barney, but after having been here a few times for brunch, I was less than impressed. Maybe it's just their vegetarian options that are lack lustre? I ordered a veggie omelet here, and it tasted like they had just slopped some greasy vegetables into an overcooked egg pancake. Gross. It also took us about 20 minutes to get our bill, despite being seated right beside the server station.
I suppose that it might be an ok spot to grab a beer, and my dining companions who were eating meat were always pleased with their orders... but vegetarians beware!

Caffe Barney is a very neighbourhood friendly restaurant with helpful bar staff but their food service is lagging as there seems to be more effort in their drink service than their food order service.

I have had the chance to come here to experience the food and bar on separate occasions and there are noticeable differences between the two.

At the bar, I had my drink order taken even before I settled down in my chair and afterwards the bartender would ask me if I wanted anymore without having to flag him down for another drink.  Very friendly, very efficient.  It was a busy night as well but he got around to everyone quickly.

When it comes to the food, their service takes too long to get the order in and food out.  Part of the reason might be because there are a lot of regular patrons that come here and the servers are slowed down or distracted when the regulars want to chat it up.  That's a tough deal for other people like me who wants to just go there to eat.

Their food is good and they have a healthy selection of green sides to go along with my turkey sandwich which was very moist.  Certainly, if the food was special and a home run I wouldn't mind waiting for the food to come, but it's just a normal breakfast/lunch menu so their meals aren't exactly worth waiting too long for just a casual lunch.

Come on guys! Don't you care?

It usually takes a lot before I will blog about a place, but I feel I need to warn. I use to frequent Caffe Barney on Granville for the brunch and never had a problem with the service or food. Then I went to Caffe Barney on Main street for some late night bevies. The guy who served us was not personable and didn't come over to our table to get an order for 10 minutes. Then when he finally approached us, it was with such attitude. I didn't realize you had to be in this guys list of friends before he would serve us. Instead, he seemed bothered by our presence. When we finally got our drinks after 20 min and he realized we were all servers, he made a small amount of effort.

Then two weeks later, just because this place is near my house, I stupidly decide to go back with a couple other friends after a crap night at work. Needed a beer so bad and we go in and guess who it is! Yes, the same worst server ever. I ask the bartender if they are still serving to make sure it's fine. He says yes so we sit. No one comes....he walks by us 4 times, table is dirty.... no one ever comes over! So we get up to leave and pass by the worst server ever and he doesn't even acknowledge that we are leaving.

I like the food at brunch but out of principle, I will never go back. Hey GUY, if you hate serving, don't do it!! Work on an assembly line in a factory where you don't have to deal with anyone...

Came by as a rendezvous point for post-rockstar night - you know, a place to reassemble the troops and debrief while getting some soothing grease in your stomach. We showed up at 1500 - so I guess you can call it Sunday 'lunner'.  We were told they were closing at 4PM (noticed later their door sign said 3:30PM was closing time) for their staff XMas party.  Crud - I hate eating against a clock - but it was too late to set a new rally point.

So we hesitantly sat down and ordered a coffee and their B.E.L.T.C.H. sandwich for about $10.  I can't figure out what the last 'H' was for... but it was bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato and cheddar on toast.  I don't remember tasting... ham?  I don't know.  It was a good sammich and fries were good as well.  Sufficiently greasy and big to quell an alcohol-ravaged stomach - but not overly so.  Tablemates enjoyed their banana pancakes and eggs bennie as well.  And service was fast as stragglers were linking back up with the platoon and rang in last minute orders.

Joint has a solid playlist clearly in forefront but just quiet enough for some catch-up without yelling.

Despite the tight closing time, staff was really friendly and attentive - the server kept coming by with coffee re-ups - the coffee was typical weak, diner coffee - but it kept coming.  The waitress never rushed us and didn't even give off slight tells of annoyance or shoo us.  Nice - she was aware that we were well aware of the time and didn't feel need to remind us incessantly.

By 1600, bill was paid and the troops were out the door and Oscar-Mike.

Decent breakfast/brunch/lunch/lunner joint for some hot chow, constant coffee refills and decent music.  Buddy declared it his favourite breakfast joint in the area.  I say, good defensible position for a central rally point.  And looks like it turns into a decent bar at night.  Recon completed and we are greenlight for insertion - weapons hot, gentlemen.

    Juliet-Charlie out.

After another extremely long day of work, a co-worker and I dropped into Caffe Barney for a bite to eat and a debriefing session. I had always thought that Caffe Barney was primarily a brunch/lunch place, but there was a decent handful of other patrons even at 9:30p.m. on a Monday night. It was dimly lit and moderately loud

Given that looking at menus is one of my favourite ways to spend my free time (I know...I know), I generally have some idea of what I'm getting before I even step into a restaurant, but here I was unprepared and confused. There were apparently specials that we weren't informed about, and that my co-worker only managed to find out about by literally stepping outside to look at the chalkboard. The vegetarian options weren't that appealing to me, so I ended up going pesc. and ordering the crab cake salad. My co-worker ordered the burger & beer special, and I was generally happy with their list of domestic draught beers.

The food came out fairly quickly, but wasn't anything to write home about. As whimsical as it would be if my crab cake salad was actually a salad comprised of a bunch of mini-crab cakes, it was one lone crab cake sitting on top of a fairly generic salad mix. I was hungry, and it was fine, but probably not something I would order again. My co-worker did not comment on his burger, but did note that his fries did not taste especially fresh. I tried one, and it was definitely a bit mealy.

Service was really strange. When our server was clearing the plates, my co-worker made a passing comment on the fries tasting a bit old. "Wha...huh...I don't know anything about that," the server stammered, looking shell-shocked, as though we were accusing him of being in on some kind of illicit old-fry crime ring. "Sorry about that," he added as an afterthought. Very peculiar.

Much better food and service options elsewhere on Main...

So when my brother and I sat down at our table, we thought, what was that funky smell?  We came to deduce that it must've been someone who sat at our table earlier stepped into some doggi ka ka.  Unfortunately this started to set off some negative vibes about our seating location, but since it was pretty full we couldn't really change the tables..  So, we changed seats so our other brother Pete would have to sit there.  hehehe.

Once we got that out of the way and the smell purged from our sensed, reflected by the taste and smell of our delicious coffee.  The rest of our foursome arrived and we ordered.
I had the omlet with sundried tomatoes. It was pretty good.  Nibbled on the hashed potatoes but since it was the soft kind of carbs, I only nibbled.

Overall my meal was pretty good.

Pete and M love Cafe Barney's.  There is a 90's vibe to this place.  90's meaning this style of eatery was popular with the orignal Barneys and the've replicated it pretty well here at the Main st location.

It's an upbeat, quick brunch kinda place.  The "young and up and comers" come here to chit and chat and chew.

If not for that introduction at our table, i'd give it a 3.5 stars, this place is quite good.  More for the 20 something ambiance thoough.

I've been to Caffe Barney several times and used to enjoy it as a place to have a drink, but after tonight I will never be back, except to speak with the manager about the absolute worst service and most inappropriate server I have ever encountered.

We arrive at Caffe Barney and it's about half full. We're told to sit wherever we like, which is normal. We sit down, and a few minutes later, this server (the only server), comes and gives us drink menus. Instead of giving us a minute to look them over, he proceeds to sit down at our table and tries to start a conversation with us, even though we were clearly already in conversation. He grabs my friend's hand to examine her engagement ring, which makes her (and everyone) horribly uncomfortable. I order a caesar, and he asks me if I want this variation on a caesar or that one, or a double, or this or that, and I say I want a plain caesar about 10 times before he gets this hint. He takes the rest of the drink orders and walks away. Something was very off about him

10 minutes late he comes back and says "Oh, I completely forgot what you guys had ordered. Can you remind me?" He appears to be slurring and stumbling. He finally brings the drinks to the table, and spills some of the drink on the table. He proceeds to do the same routine with another table.

He then falls down not once, but twice during the period of our stay. Not just trip, but flat out fall on his back. I don't know if he had a speech and mobility impairment or if he was intoxicated, but I shouldn't have to be trying to figure that out as a customer at a bar. He also carried utensils in his back pocket. Lovely. I'm so glad I didn't order food.

We ask for our bill several times and it never comes, so we just leave some cash on the table. I have no idea if it was the right amount, but we just wanted to get away from there as quickly as possible.

I was just creeped out by the whole experience, and this place, that I used to enjoy, has been absolutely ruined for me. I'm disappointed and saddened.

Their brunch has always been good, and I've never encountered this server before, but... yeesh! It's too bad, because they have good drink specials and carry some good local craft beers.

After perusing several places on Main street my friend and I settled on Caffe Barney, since it was the least busy of our several dinner choices. being a Friday night and the fact that there was some kind of sports game going on, it was pretty loud and busy but not obnoxiously so.

We started out with some drinks (a couple of Old Fashioned) and they were good and strong. For food, I had the baked brie and my friend had the vegetarian burger. The baked brie was delicious but I wish I had of gotten the veggie burger. I had a few bites of my friend's and GOD DAMN it was the best pretend meat I have ever had. Not that I have a lot to go on, but it was friggen delicious. If I were to go back again for just one thing, it would be that burger.

Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, even though the place was packed full. Overall a very delicious experience as we left kind of drunk with happy tummies.

This place makes such a delicious and refreshing Mimosa! I had to stop myself from chugging it and remember that it was still daytime, and that I try to pretend to be a classy adult when I leave my house... sometimes.

They were on special for just under $5 I think. Sooooo delicious and just pulpy enough!

I knew from the moment I woke up this morning that I was going to have some motherfucking eggs benny at some point. It had to happen. I didn't care where.

Lex L. suggested Caffe Barney and I was down. I'd only been here once or twice before, but so long ago that I really don't remember what I thought of it.

I ordered the Commando Benny (chunks of tomato, asparagus and brie) because I love all 3 of those toppings. A lot. It looked amazing when it came out and I couldn't wait to dig in. It was okay. It wasn't as delicious as it sounds like it would be. I found it slightly bland compared to the delicious benny I'd had a week before at 8 and 1/2.

One issue I had with it, was actually that the eggs were "too eggy". I know, that's totally weird. Of course it would taste eggy since I am eating an egg. Well... somehow it didn't work for me. I'm incredibly picky about eggs so it's probably just me being an idiot.

The hashbrowns were okay. Pretty sure they were deep fried and weren't really seasoned at all... still decent though.

I think next time I'll get a scramble, or perhaps something that isn't egg.

Oh. I also tried the Chocolate Orange drink. Cafe Mocha with Grand Marnier. That was delicious!

    Meh. Caffe Barney is okay.

It gets a three because I've been a bunch of times and it's been fine but not disappointing, and the service is good.

I've always dropped in for brunch, and always because I was far too hungry and impatient to wait in the long line at Nice Cafe and Caffe Barney is nearby.

The eggs benny is fine- nothing special whatsoever, but not bad - just passable, unmemorable eggs benny, however you get it there. They do have some variations, and I have probably tried most of them.. they're all fine. Are they worth the indulgence? I'm beginning to think probably not. My new line of thinking is if I'm going to eat eggs benny, it better be worth it.

The last time I was here, the potatoes were pretty bad!! Undercooked and super bland. Also, our first round of coffee was good, but the refill tasted super weird - maybe it was an off day for the place, but I felt very over it.

We've been here often enough because it's just okay, but now it's time to find a new nearby brunch joint. I'm tired of passable.

By far the best restaurant on Main Street...

The Atmosphere is dim and medium noise. The seats are comfortable the food was delicious, and the service.. wow, the service was impeccable...

Our waitress brought our bottle of red to start and we poured ourselves our first glass waiting for our starter share plate (baked brie with crusty bread). When it came I went to pass my wife her small plate and I knocked it into my wine glass, splattering it across the floor in front of us and causing many glances our way. The waitress, who was working alone in the packed restaurant, came over immediately and wiped it up, grabbed my empty but not broken wine glass from the table and went to fill it up with more of the same wine but from the bar, not from our bottle!

She did everything with a smile and looked as though she loved her job for real-real.

The food was awesome. I had a seafood salad that was not one bit chincy and would highly recommend it to everyone. My wife tried one of their sandwiches and ate as much of the giant thing as her little belly would allow.

The bill was so decent. Where else can you get a bottle of yummy syrah, a starter share plate, and two mains (not to mention my free glass of wine) for around $60 bucks and still love every minute of the experience?

Friendly neighborhood cafe on Main Street. It was so busy at noon on Sun. We didn't bother to wait for table and got seated at the bar right the way.

Brunch at Barney was ok.  My tradition ham egg benny was good but nothing special.  My husband had corn beef hash was delicious but a bit oily.

It was fair to pay $10 for brunch.

I decided to stray from the usually one night and have the fish and chips..umm..eekkkk...greasy and over cooked and the fish was super dry...I think they should just stick to the bugers..

I walked by, liked the open brick decor so I decided to drop in for a few beers which turned into a taste test of their line of delicious BC and Alberta beers on tap. I had a small salad which was tasty albeit slightly pricey. I was happy with the service not being not pushy but attentive, sitting at the bar.

This is a pub where you can throw back a few pints and watch Main Street walk by.

Brunch at Barney's didn't disappoint! Just beating the lunch rush, I settled into a table (they're tightly packed) and very easily discerned what I wanted off of the menu- a Commando Benny.

Perfect choice! The hollandaise was spot on; finally a benny without thick and tasteless goop on it! The only negative: one of my eggs was cooked to runny perfection - while the other was overdone . I can't give too much grief about it - the overdone one still tasted pretty good, and the brie on my commando made up for the softness I wanted on my english muffin.

The coffee was fresh and kept coming, thanks to the attentive and really hip server I had! Next time, I'll be trying one of the girlie-looking cocktails the table of guys were drinking at the table next to me!

I was passing by late in the afternoon, and noticed that the patio was free so I tried it out. I thought I came at a good time because in the evening's I bet you wouldn't get the freedom to choose where to sit, let alone the patio on a warm day.

We got a newer waitress (who admitted it was her first shift) but everything went really smoothly, she came by a lot and was very friendly. The menu is neat. The prices were fair. I was definitely indecisive as to what to order but I settled on the Mac n Cheese, by far the best (and creamiest!) I've ever had. It seemed small in proportion but it really filled me up. My friend tried the nachos, one of the more inexpensive things on the menu. Turns out, the proportion was huge. We shared our plates, and discovered that the chips tasted good dipped in my mac n cheese.

I can't say much for the Granville location, but I really enjoyed my early dinner people-watching on Main Street.

I dropped by the Caffe Barney on Granville once and thought it was a brunch place so I was surprised to see that it was also a late night drinking spot when we went to the Main location.

The cocktail list is inventive, with things I've never seen before so our group just ordered a whole bunch and did some hot potato passing around of drink trials!

They deliver what they promise..... and although you may think 2 ounces can be very strong, it could turn out to be hidden deep into your koolaid tasting concoction - not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

Prices are reasonable, nothing over the top, but beer can be as cheap as $3.95 a glass. There are large screen TVs to watch the games, and the music is on the borderline of too loud, but the person you are trying to speak to across the table can still hear you if you raise your voice.

Not a bad place.... but not some place I'm rusing back to... brunch.. maybe.

Barney is my most reliable brunch in the city. Before this location opened we would make a special jaunt out to Granville to eat here, but now we find ourselves happily strolling mere blocks away to gorge ourselves on great Bennies.

Depending on how gluttonous I feel, I end up with either the Commando Benny (asparagus, tomato and brie) or the Eggsotic (with shrimp, avocado and gouda.) If I am watching my waistline I go for an omelette, and they manage to keep it a tad undercooked as per my specifications. I have also never had an overcooked poached egg here, so yay!

Hashbrowns can be hit or miss - I detect some days that they are deepfried and if that is the case I would rather not know about it! The hotsauce is my favourite - kind of Franks-y, but with something extra. I wanna drink it from the bottle!

A great place for a beer or a caesar with a hangover brunch, or a late night beer or two.

One note - in my experience, the evening menu looks like a dog's breakfast, with no unifying theme. It's kind of a mish mash of mediocre West Coast fare, and the items I have tried were meh at best. Not a fan - at all. Brunch FTW!

Caffe Barney on Main Street always looks so packed during the day. Every time I walk past it on sunny days, the people on the patio seem perched on the railing like birds ready to swoop.

At nighttime, it's quieter. The patio is closed, and the room isn't so crowded. The server let us choose the table, and she was very quick and pleasant throughout the meal. Most of the entrees were in the mid-teens, pricewise, and though I wasn't drinking that night due to a hangover (oh, those ladies nights!), the drinks looked affordable and plentiful as well.

Since I hadn't eaten much all day, I was starving, and my five-cheese tortellini with mushrooms filled me up without leaving me icky. I don't know, but the chef seems to have a gift for combining cream and cheeses with making it into a grease fest.

It was a pleasant enough restaurant, if a little sombre with those dark grey walls. Perhaps good for a "let's be friends, don't make a scene" break-up dinner.

Not all Barney's are created Equally.

A shabby attempt at copying the original on Granville street, this main street version is just too sanitized and cold.  It doesn't nearly have the home-made feel that the original has and its modelled after some sort of combination of hipster-sterile and evening/casual.

    boo.

    Overpriced for the area.

It's my hangover's wet dream! Super yummy Benny's with the best Hollandaise sauce in Vancouver! It has just a hint of citrus in it, and it tastes so buttery and delicious! I usually order a side of Hollandaise to have with my hasbrowns! So how is it that I don't weigh 500 pounds??
Most of the breakfast items are around $10, and all of them are yummo, but super filling so make sure your pants have an elastic waistband or you are wearing a muumuu. They have Cesars on special on Sundays, as well as Sangria, but I usually opt for the Cesar since my head is already pounding and the sugary Sangria will probably make me lose my breakfast at the table, and some patrons may find that unappetizing.

This place is usually rocking on weekends, luckily I show up around 2pm when I can finally drag my ass out of bed and rock the big hair, big shades, and big hangover. I was pleasantly surprised by the music selection they play when we are here, because I usually like it! When I wake up after breakfast and look around I am always surprised by the boring late-thirty-somethings around me that frequent this place, I guess the high tables and bar stools attract a more mature crowd. Its a good thing my posse is there to stir things up and make the waitresses enjoy their job.

I had to double check to see if I had reviewed Barneys... Guess what...  One cant compare the two Barney locations cause this newer one really doesn't feel like the old one on Granville, but this one has that cool brick and chopped up old wall look going on.. With a small patio over looking busy Main st & Broadway

I love the large american diner style bar which I like to hang out at. Lots of fresh beer on tap, always nice sweet friendly staff.. and their menu serves up home style cookin... with always delicious fresh daily specials..

And they serve up Wet Dreams Breakfast to most peeps delight, what else could one ask for??

I'll tell you the truth, I came here because The Cascade Room next door was busy. It was satisfactory as a second choice but nothing was memorable.

All I remember about the tapas is that more salt was needed or maybe I was just drinking too much wine that night :P Speaking of drinking, a family was sitting at the table next to us (wow, hipster families) and I was trying hard to refrain myself from profanity and inappropriateness - [enter Southern accent] lemme tell ya, it was hurd with tha dim lights, wine, good company n all.

One of my favourite Sunday hangout with friends!

This is an awesome place and if you can get over your hang over and drag your a** there by 10:30, you won't have to deal with line ups.

I was so happy that they opened another location nearby my home and since than it was an easy choice to grap lunch in a easy casual place. Everything on the menu is typical menu for brunch and I always get great service when I sit at the bar because of the attentive bar tender who recognizes that I am a regular.

I would have given 4/5 if it wasn't for the consistent alright service with the waitresses. They are too relaxed, perhaps getting over their hang over, but they don't seem to be there and sometimes they will forget to bring tea/water. Once you got your food, you will be waiting forever to ask for items like hot sauce. They don't connect well with their customers and for a place that small, it's hard to believe that they don't see you trying to make eye contact to get their attention!!!

But overall the great place delivers on the food for the value.

As Melissa F stated in her review, it's true that this place isn't quite the same as the original location.

Came here for brunch one day and the service was pretty mediocre. Perhaps it's the holidays and they just weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was (which it really wasn't). I think I'm just looking for excuses on their behalf.  The service just seemed very inattentive and slow.

Food however was definitely still tasty and delicious, but much like Crystal H's experience with her benedict I too had the mismatched eggs. One cooked perfectly and the other overdone. That was probably the only negative I had with the food.

The space is definitely on the tinier side, but it works for this neighborhood.

Caffe Barney knows their eggs and it shows on their straight forward menu.  Divided into bennys, scrambles, and omelets ($9.50 - 10), the list of mouthwatering offerings is a savoury brunch lover's dream come true. Fresh and flavourful fillings include smoked salmon and cream cheese, asparagus and sun-dried tomato, avocado and shrimp...and the list goes on.

Out of the large selection of teas, we chose the raspberry and white cranberry teas. They came in personal sized teapots which were refilled constantly and turned out to be just the beverages to warm up with on this chilly morning. Try skipping the sugar and ask for honey instead if you've got a tooth for the not-too-sweet.

Much like the chilled out  vibe that you can enjoy here over drinks at night, brunch time in the high ceilinged dining room is very much laid back. The sunlit room filled with high top banquettes is casual and comfortable.

With deliciously satisfying brunch fare to chow down on, the dark, looming painting of a chandelier and the well stocked bar may be the only reminders that might evoke flashbacks of last night's over indulgences.

Knowing a good brunch spot is crucial to any Saturday morning.

    $4.50 cesars is downright mandatory.

I found myself in another neighborhood, not my own, last Saturday.  Instead of venturing back to the core to find some food, I elected to join a friend at a previously unknown location.

I took a gamble and I won.  The food was inventive and amazing. The service was perfect.  The drinks just what I needed to revive myself from Friday night.

This Barney's is much more progressive than the older one on Granville, and it should be its in a much younger neighbourhood. The food it consistent and service pleasant.

The draw is the ever changing and progressive wine list. For that I give it 4 stars.

wow- as i scan the previous reviews of this joint, i wonder if i may have stepped into a different time zone?!!

extremely disappointed in all aspects of this place.
    first of all, the service..
i walked in with my friend and the lady didn't move from across the restaurant. she hollers at us to take a seat anywhere we wanted.  we were eyeing the couches and she notices and hollers out that it would be appreciated if we kept those areas open for larger groups.  so we sat at a smaller table by the window.

she gave us 2 a menu and took off.  she came back a little later and asked if we decided, my friend asked a few questions about their omelettes.  instead of offering any help with the decision, her answer was "well, its whatever you like. do you like avocado? shrimp? cheese? if so, then you'll like it"  then she starts to walk away while adding "i'll give you a few more minutes".
she obviously had no interest in helping us with our decision nor did she have the patience... boo to her.

we both ended up getting different omelettes (i had the shrimp, avocado & gouda).
mine was bland, tasteless and the shrimp was not fresh.  the roasted potatoes were bland and tasteless.  i looked at the tablesalt.. and even contemplated adding some-- but i dont ever use table salt.. so i didn't.  oh, it was a difficult process to finish my plate.  which i didn't--A FIRST for me!!

my friend only finished half of his plate..much less than me and he is a piglet too!

i also noticed the table beside us have a problem with their benny dish and had it sent back...

i am so disappointed that we ended up here for brunch when there are many other great options in this area...=P

I hate this place.  I ate there three times, and each time either myself or someone at my table had to complain about the food.  One of those times, my friend had rotten avocado in her omelette, and the manager actually tried to argue with her that it wasn't rotten!  Then, she tried to play it down that avocados weren't in season so it's more difficult to get a good one.  For one thing, a quick google search will tell you that their prime growing season is late-winter and early spring (it was February).  Also, don't make an excuse that your ingredients aren't very good!!!  Finally, my last bad experience was when I stopped in for a quick 5 minute meeting with my boss, while he waited for another meeting to start.  The server made some really terrible jokes about how I was the "fluffer" meeting, and then OFFERED ME to the two businessmen sitting next to us, in case they wanted to be "fluffed" as well.  REALLY.  I hate that place.

I really like it there.  The food, the people, the music, the fact that I don't remember how I got home after...?  It's all good.

had a great brunch here last weekend, the food was very good and the prices are great, everything was around $10!  Good deal.  I ordered the spinach+feta omelette, and on my next visit the smoked salmon cream cheese omelette, both were super yummy!

I really enjoyed my brunch at Caffe Barney.  I had a perfectly done Eggs Bennie and the coffee was good.  Being someone who is very picky about coffee I have to say they passed the test.
