I went to this place after wandering around downtown searching for a fast and reasonably priced lunch. For under $10, I got a freshly made roast beef sandwich with sauerkraut on a nice, fresh bun, and a good sized portion of Greek salad full of fresh cucumber, tomato, pepper, and feta. I got it to go and ate it on the waterfront in the sunshine, it was great!
If you're looking for somewhere that serves a great soup and sandwich/ salad and sandwich for a reasonable price, go here. The staff was all very friendly and fast. I'll definitely be going here again when I'm in the neighbourhood. -

Cash only. The lady behind the register is nice though, and took my American money. They're also quite fast, and I appreciate the bread being toasted on the sandwich and the time that's taken to make each sandwich - pieces of lettuce are individually placed on, and the man making sandwiches is quite particular about how things are completed.
That being said, on a cold day, you can't really beat soup, and their soup is not that great. It's OK, but nothing stupendous. I can see why workers who work in the building eat there, but I would not go out of my way to come here. -

I decided to meet a friend at this place after reading the reviews of this place on Yelp and since I had business around VCC anyway. Unfortunately for us, this was one of the most scathing experiences I ever had.
I set up a time with a friend and unfortunately I ran late 20 minutes. My friend wanted to wait for me to start and she told the staff that she would wait for me before ordering something. However, when I reached the cafe, I saw her, and sat down, and it was barely a minute before one of the waitresses came up to us and yell at us to "leave". Honestly, my only reaction at that time was "wtf". She yelled and said that the place is "not a place to sit around and wait". And when my friend tried to say that, hey, I'm waiting and we're ready to get something, she just yelled at us to leave.
I suspect that the waitress might had an awful day or something, but it crosses the line when you walk up to your patrons and yell at them, especially since we were at the premise for only about 20 minutes. I was planning to enjoy the BEST LATTES in the world but instead I got the WORST SERVICE in the world and left having my entire morning spoiled by a moron. -

OMG. This place has the BEST lattes in the world. And I repeat that - THE BEST LATTES IN THE WORLD! It's like I died and went to coffee heaven... The minute I took a sip of that latte, I almost melted. I cannot rave enough about this place!!!
And the service, don't even get me started on the service... they are the friendliest staff EVER!
The only bad thing is that it closes at 3pm daily!!! But it does open at 6am... Oh well, at least it stays open long enough for me to get my lunch time coffee fix!
