This place was frugal, fast friendly service & had alright food.
I ordered the eel fried rice for $7.50 & it included a drink. The fried rice could've had a little bit more eel but it was alright. The portion was a bit big & I had to pack it home. For the drink, I asked for a hk style cold tea which usually costs extra at places similiar to Cafe Peninsula but they didn't charge me extra which was great cuz it was super hot out & it was nice to sip smth cold! They also kept refilling our tea. My friends ordered the curry beef udon & fruit/black sesame ice cream pancake. I didn't try it but no complaints from them.
Some great deals as noted by Jennifer K. $5.50 specials w/ a drink.

Another small cafe type restaurant that opened up at First Markham Place.
Cafe Peninsula supposed to be specialized in serving Hong Kong/Taiwan/Japanese dishes.
Price is great $5.50 for all day special that comes with a choice of drinks, no extra charges for cold drinks. (I have included the specials in my photos)
I orderd the spicy chicken noodles special, the chicken is nice and tender.. the noodles are chewy not soaky type. The soup is not spicy enough, but the waitress suggested that I should order extra spicy next time. The broth though is a little salty.
The services is good and friendly.
