I came here on the tail-end of one of my pretty-much-weekly pilgrimage to the Yorkville area.  It's got some very comfortable and chic (although somewhat clubby) seating, with soft, round, bright red individual couches surrounding black round tables.  It also has free Wi-Fi

Food-wise, I tried the Veggie Garden Mania (with goat cheese, portobello mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, lettuce, red onions and caesar dressing).  I found that the tomatoes (and possibly the dressing) made the dish a little too sour, and I was a little non-thrilled at the use of bland iceberg lettuce.  The crepes themselves have a moderately chewy texture; while it wasn't overly undercooked as some other creperies I've tried prior to joining Yelp and which shall remain unnamed until I'm dragged there again, a crunchier texture would have been nice.

I think I might come back to give their sweet crepes a try...

I have to agree with Steph and Jennifer! Service here has more attitude without the bustling business to back it up. They can't afford to be treating people like this for long because I don't think most people will bother to come back.

Fillings were stingy and they confrontation over using a Groupon was a big mistake. I won't bother repeating much else because the other reviews say it all.

How time flies!  I was the first to review this place and unfortunately they haven't shown any improvement, actually, my impression of this cafe is worse.

I came here after the Power of Movement fundraiser with a few of my favourite Yelpers.

We were excited for crepes but ended up being treated like crap.
    The service was horrible.
I've been here three times and I won't be back.

The servers were very short with us.
    Abrupt. Rude...  Just completely unpleasant.

We had a Groupon and they made a huge deal about it.
For such a small place, I don' t think they should be giving anyone a hard time.  Even asking for the bill took forever.

Now that I've shared my thoughts about the service, here's how I felt about the crepes.

    I ordered the Mania ($7.29)
Bland and doughy crepes without much filling.
I think it had eggs, goat cheese, spinach...
I actually can't remember because it was more dough than stuff.
The crepe came with a salad of iceburg lettuce with goat cheese thrown on top of it.  Not very appetizing.

Completely average crepes and overpriced coffee.
-- And I paid $2.45 for a TEA CUP of coffee.
Who serves coffee in a tea cup?

Next time I want crepes, I'm going to wander over to Crepe's A Go-go in Yorkville.  Maybe Crepe It Up on Church... or take a few steps down the street to Wanda's Belgian Waffles.  They have waffles and not crepes but you know what?  I'll take hot Belgian waffles over crepes-with-attitude.

Cafe Mania's crepes and waffles we ordered were not bad.... but this place just have this negative vibe...

The wait staffs are the  most of unfriendly and confronting ones I encountered. Everything is a No.. Customers are always not right!

No, this.. that's not possible...even asking the bill and pay was not an easy task! Since they don't have bills, they have to ring it in the cash register just like you eating at a fast food joint!

I don't think I will be back... the food is not worth all these agony!

    Mmmm, crepes.

The Cafe Mania Original - a sweet crepe filled with mascarpone, bananas, walnuts, honey and topped with cinnamon powder - is definitely a winner.

The prices are a bit expensive, but when have crepes ever been cheap?

    BLEH!!

I passed by this place at least once a week, and was always tempted by the sweet smells coming out of this place.

After months, i finally had some space left for dessert on the way back to work. Luckily it was a Monday, so we took advantage of the Mon-Tues $4 crepe special.  I had the chocolate fudge, and my friend had the nuttella.  $4 seems like a great deal for a crepe, but it all depends what it tastes like .....

immediately when it got to the table I notices that it didn't look like the other crepes I've bought.  It was a bit lighter than usual, when i bit into it, i confirmed that it was indeed undercooked. my friend also said that nis nuttella didn't have the texture of fresh stuff.

    atmosphere:
Place looks nice, low key, looked like there was free wifi (but maybe the guy just had his laptop out ...)

    service:
service was nice. why do these places do full service until you have to pay the bill. does that mean we don't have to tip [as much]?

I'll give this place one more shot before i give it the permanent boycott.

The quality of the food was very good, but I did not find it very filling due to what seemed to be smaller portions. The server's knowledge seemed limited, especially when it came to what different teas they had were like.

M'lady and I went there for breakfast (or closer to brunch). It wasn't very busy with plenty of free tables, and the environment was very enjoyable. It was a difficult to get the server's attention at times.

The china seemed old with chips on each of the plates we used, and the large tea pot we got was very difficult to use as it was all metal, and the handle was at a 90 degree angle. Touching the top of the lid which seemingly was the handle to lift it up by got your fingers burned.

All-in-all, this quality of the food was very good as was the environment, however they have a long ways to go until they become deserving of a 5-star rating, both in terms of customer service and their china.

    Service: 3/5

Great crepes, and i actually go out of my way to visit this place for some crepe cravings.

    Favorites:
Nutty mania: hazelnut Nutella with almonds, coconuts, and walnuts.
Banana mania: haze;nut Nutella with fresh banana
    Each for around $7.
Crepes are prepared to perfection, crispy on the edge and moist in the center. I always enjoy every single bite and before I even know, the whole crepe is gone.

Service is quite slow mainly because they only have 1 person serving everybody in the store, and 1 person making crepes. They are simply understaffed and cannot handle everything promptly.  It took them almost 20 minutes before serving me the crepes.

You wont miss out much by skipping the mixed drinks here, obviously not their specialty. Go with the safe choices of crepes + coffee (Americano was amazing!!!)

So I always walk by this place because it's right around the corner from me....I never went in but fabfind had a coupon special $10 for $25 dollars worth of food.  We went on a martini special day and I was happy! Drinks, sweet crepes what more could a person want....well actually a lot.  The food was good but nothing like Cafe crepe on queen.

The ambiance was cute.  Unsure how we racked up a bill of $80 dollars at a cafe place for 3 people but maybe that was my fault for the drinking...even though I had 2 drinks only....anyways continuing on.  I had a strawberry nutella banana YUMMY! and my boyfriend and his friend had this Mediterranean grilled thing which was FANTASTIC except I dont think salty things should be in a crepe...I know I'm weird like that.

Service was decent, the server was trying a little too hard to "be my friend" to the point where he was being a tad mean to me for a server however he was attentive and came to check on us very often.

Cost: 3 people, 1 cheese plater, 4 crepes, 6 drinks (2 alcholic) $80 (inc coupon for $15 off)
    Food quality: 4/5
    Food quantity: 3.5/5
    Wine Selection: 3/5
    Service: 3.5/5
Perfect for: First dates, Dessert craving.

Would I Go Again: Only because I have two more coupons, or else probably not...I love cafe crepe

ADORE this place. I feel like the service is SO personal, occasionally slow but the servers and owner seem to love the place. I have never had a dessert crepe, despite having been here a fair few times, but the meal crepes are totally delicious. Contrary to some reviews here, I found that the crepes were very filling! I have tried a few and all were incredibly delicious, as is the one martini I tried. LOVE the Monday/Tuesday specials, and I love the decor- I feel like I could sit in there all day and study and order crepes! This is one of my favourite places I have found in the past year.

On sunday aug 1st/2010  walking down isabella ,me +3 friends were out hunting for a place to brunch. We noticed this little cafe on the corner of Sherbourne and decided to try it out.

Its basically a crepe place with a fun selection of smoothiers and cappucino's. They make almost anything with crepes. 2 friends had the "sunshine" -(egg cheese and ham) - delicious...
"the mania" not sure what it had, but aparently a popular one
I had the "chicken strips, lettuce, tomatoes&roasted peppers"

all in all, i wasnt a huge fan of the crepe itself....only because my association with crepe is always desert and/or sweet. So for desert or a snack, yes definitely. NOT for when your starving after a night of insane alcohol.
The staff was extremely friendly and its a small well put place.
Its mostly local family and friends.

The price was A-OK. it was about $10 for a tiny crepe. I wasnt very satisfied with the food but its worth a try.

It's open late, has a unique selection of crepes and is affordable for a desert place. On the downside, the place is too bright, they don't seem to be able to blend the desert with the liqueur like Just desserts down the street; desert and alchohol are separate menus.

I went there on the night (or morning) of Nuit Blanche 2010, so they were open 24 hours.  We were seated very quickly, and were given a menu, which was unexpected, because it didn't seem like the type of place to offer table service.

This was my first time at a crepe cafe, and there was many choices.  I opted for the strawberries + nutella crepe, and it was delicious; and they did not skimp on the strawberries.

They also have a good selection of teas and fair trade coffee.  One of my companions ordered a small pot of tea, which is good for one person.

I hope that I will be able to come back soon!

Picture this, it's Saturday night and the five of us have just finished having dinner at a low-rent Indian restaurant and we're craving dessert. So we decide to head south on Younge street from Bloor street and we really stumbled  upon this place. And I mean, stumble. Not to mention, it's down the road from the Church of Scientology. No, no Tom Cruise themed dessert, although, I can just imagine what it would be. The place is hip and has a decent urban feel to it. The service is fast and friendly. Oscar from Turkey was super nice and really took the time to make us feel at home. For five of us it cost $50 including coffeeand tea. Not bad.

"Meh. I've experienced better".... fits the description exactly. I mean it's alright, just not great, compared to many of the crêpe/waffle places I've been to in the same price bracket.  The décor of the place was decent, but something about the vibe of the place was kind of off. We got a waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, the ice cream was delicious but it was the tiniest dinkiest little scoop I have ever seen in my life...

My wife had a crepe and I had a Mediterranean Pesto. I was so unhappy with what I got that I didn't even finish it. As for my wife's crepe, it was nothing above average although not bad. Their prices are a little high. We went on a Friday night and they were quite dead.
