Review from Wino K.
Great place to sit on the patio if out shopping along Rue Cartier. Frommer's recommended it, and the burgers and sandwiches were great. Nothing special from an atmosphere standpoint, just a patio diner-type spot with solid breakfast and lunch.

Review from Heather F.
I learned how to make a delicious Croque Monsieur (think grilled ham and cheese smothered in cheese sauce) from Ina Garten (via the Food Network). Unfortunately, usually after making it, I can barely stomach it knowing how just how much butter, Gruyere, and Parmesan are involved...
While in Quebec City, I convinced myself that the Croque Monsieur at Cafe Krieghoff couldn't be nearly so bad for me as Ina's recipe. It probably wasn't, but it also wasn't nearly as good.
Aside from the okay/not worth the calories sandwich, everything else (atmosphere, service, etc.) was also just okay. If you are looking for a delicious Croque Monsieur, look elsewhere.
