Bought take-out from this place last weekend. Friendly, smiling staff helped me with my lack of cubanese*.
Portions are LARGE to say the least. I had the Pan con Lechon (roast pork with caramelized onions) and a side of congri. It was alright and no better. Pork was a little dry and bun was just massive. Congri was more rice and bean juice than anything.
Wife had the Havana sandwich with chorizo, no ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard and it was incredible. Juicy and well put together. Friends shared the Ropa Vieja - ' Old clothes' in Spanish, Shredded beef over a reduction of dry wine with creole sauce and one of the pizzas that wasn't on the menu. Both were huge in size and passable.
Moderately good food, great price.
