very popular casual dining in the N.E. In my view this is a consistent top tier location that presents the Cactus Club brand well. The reason this place is popular is consistent high quality food, cool vibe and variety of flavours from Feenie burger, famous squash ravioli, sushi aburi, steak frites and even vegan friendly dishes like the med bowl - yes I have family who are vegans so our venues sometimes are challenged

As a west coaster, Would I feel ok ordering sushi or the poke bowl from a casual non Japanese restaurant in Albert? If it is at Cactus Club with high turns on fresh food, heck yah!

I can also get awesome chicken wings and other dishes so something for everyone's palette

I went here for the second time this week as I was originally going to compare the "earls/cactus club/joeys" family but did that before and returned to CC as it is in my view the best of the 3 in NE Calgary

No surprises here, awesome food served properly seasoned tuna poke bowl and aburi salmon sushi with blue moon wheat beer Sitting at the bar to avoid the wait for a table. I had the Steak frites that was cooked perfectly to med rare with fresh fries (not oily) and peanut butter bar with top tier hagan da premium ice cream for dessert

The parking lot was full on a Thursday nite at 7 pm

If I had the foresight, I would have planned my evenings for happy hour as prices are much better for my favourite items

This is my go to whenever I am in N.E. Calgary

we showed up at cactus club on barlow trail
at around 4:00 pm on wednesday and the place was busy, in time for happy hour (2 - 5 pm every day).

our server was friendly and service oriented. i got the med bowl, it was colourful, and packed with bold flavours. this bowl feels healthy, with turmeric rice, beetroot hummus, kale, cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, feta, kalamata olives, yogurt, falafel and pickled red cabbage.

the med bowl during happy hour is $18
+$4.50 for grilled shawerma chicken

The restaurant has a clean and elegant design, making people feel comfortable and relaxed. The food tastes excellent, with each dish leaving a lasting impression. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Great mock-tails and vegan dishes. All the food looked delicious. Definitely plan on coming again. Parking gets full though.

Came here after a flight, was very hungry. They take reservations online on their website, which is necessary because there was a 45 min wait for a table. Luckily, the bar had open seats so was able to sit there to eat. Overall the food was mediocre. They used to have great flavors of wings but now only have hot or salt and pepper. Salt and pepper was too dry. Hot was fine but nothing special. The grilled avocado kale salad was interesting but they are trying too hard, would've preferred a traditional Caesar salad. Parking lot is small so can be a little difficult to find parking. Overall I would probably give it 3.5 stars, but will round up to 4 stars because the waitresses and bartenders and hostesses were all mostly very attractive and friendly so they get bonus points for that.

We can never be in Canada without stopping in for Cactus Club a few times. We dined here after flying into Calgary en route to Banff and their food is delicious as always! We have our favorite dishes and every location makes them consistently. Love the atmosphere, music isn't blaring, nice patio seating also. Our favorites are the lettuce wraps, truffle fries, Mex bowl, crispy tofu bowl, Avo Kale Salad, grilled Dijon salmon and blackened creole chicken and cheesecake for dessert. Service is always on point!

Food is top notch for a chain restaurant. The poke bowl was outstanding and the summer drink specials are an excellent value. The service is great!
