Went to this Cactus Club Cafe for a friend's birthday about a month and a half ago.  There were 3 of us for lunch and we had made reservations.  Loved the variety of foods on the menu.  We started with the Korean tacos with the sauted beef and the Korean pickled cabbage.  This was very refreshing and tasty.  My two friends had chicken entrees (I can't remember exactly which ones).  They both enjoyed their meals.  I had the roasted duck club house with prosciutto ham.  I thought this riff on the original club house sandwich was so good!  The juiciness and the richness of the duck took the sandwich to another level.  I will definitely order this again in the future.  For dessert, we had the trio sampler with the cheese cake.  This was a lovely way to end our wonderful meal.  Our server was really nice and talked to us in a really upbeat way.  The tables, seats, and wall appeared to be clean.  I was impressed with the bathroom with its foot controlled flusher, motion triggered soap and tap, but the paper towels were not in a dispenser or anything.  I would highly recommend this particular Cactus Club Cafe for a casual dining experience with friends/family or on a date.

    Is this even a restaurant?
I haven't been here since my teen years and I know why- commercial food with crappy service.
Came here the other week because my Mom had a huge lump sum of a gift certificate. I called and asked about reservations and they said no, so we went ahead and took our chances with a lineup. It turns out you can book reservations -grrr!! So we waited a good 30 mins for a table and would get bumped down every time a reservation person came to 'claim' their table.
So the food is bland and over priced. If you want safe food, come here. I ordered a gluten free salad and even made sure the vinaigrette was gluten free and it came with toast - ermmm :S
I'm not even going to start with the staff and the snooty attitude.

Not normally much of a fan of the Cactus Club chains but a friend suggested it as a middle ground - a good half distance between the both of us to meet for a meal.   I am nothing, if not accommodating!  :-)

My general complaint against 'places like this' is the bunny-dip-ness of the wait staff.  For those of you not familiar with the term:
    http://en.wikipedia.or...

I love women as much as men.  Seriously.  But I don't want to be looking at cleavage while I'm trying to enjoy my food.  There is something so unappealing about gratuitous flesh.  Plus the fact that often, the wait staff at these types of places are also heavily scented.   Something I cannot tolerate. But we decided to check it out.

The Ahi Tuna app was decent.  Unfortunately it either didn't say, or we didn't notice, but it contains mandarin oranges and friend is allergic to citrus.

What really was enjoyable was the Duck Club Sandwich.  What a sandwich!!  As often happens both my honey and I ordered the same thing which was large and delicious and kept both of us (hands and mouths) busy while our friend chattered away.  Good thing she's a talker.  ;-)

Two words: bellini tuesdays. This place has yummy food, yummy staff and delicious bevies. My fave order is the Raincoast Greens salad and a few too many bellinis.
Good location as I hate driving anywhere near Metrotown.
    Thumbs up.

This is my favorite Cactus club. I love the decor, very modern and trendy. It's a brand new location with plenty of parking in the market crossing mall. The hostesses are super friendly and easy on the eyes. The best part of this location is the large lounge with plenty of LCD's to watch the games. There is a bar in the middle of the lounge that goes around 360 degrees.

The patio has heat lamps for a cold evening but I'll probably pass as it's right beside SW Marine Dr. I wouldn't want to inhale any of the fumes coming from the trucks passing through the highway.

The food is always consistent in Cactus Club and its comparable to other franchises like Earls or Milestones.

Celine Dion conversation; something about 7 cats; going to Hong Kong coming back preggers or engaged yup the conversation ran the spectrum! You name it....it was said.
But aren't all last day on the job celebrations like this?

Very impressed with the decor; outside firepit with a table around it said PARTY. Welcoming staff even setting up a table for 10 with no reservations and to totally put things over the top can you say twin sister servers all in one breath! One blonde, one brunette equally free of attitude and friendly!

Drinks flowed nicely; no complaints from me when it came to my spiked fraps aka dirty frozen martini. Hell yeah! The boss and the rest of the crew had peach belinis, brazilian drinks, beer and tequila shooters. Lets all say Jose; after all it's some kind of holiday in Mexico!

Great food; fast service ranging from wings, yam fries, short rib paninis and quesadillas.
Emotions were kept in check 4 rounds later; it is hard to cry when you have a sh** ass grin on your face.

The bathrooms are notorious for being top grade AAA; spinning toilet covers, floor petals for flushing; huge stalls; floor to ceiling mirrors....sometimes it's hard to leave but they don't serve drinks there so that has to be put into perspective!

Good times had by all and if you are going to go you will definitely remember both the memories and the style in which they were created. Two thumbs up!

Since I've never been to this location before, I phoned ahead to ask about whether they had tables for a group of 10. The lady told me there are a few, but they could seat us in adjoining booths, if necessary. I was glad to hear that, since I know the two Broadway locations aren't as group-friendly as the Richmond one.

Wednesday but an Olympic hockey night. It was pretty empty -- not sure if it's because we went after the Canada game was over. We waited in the Lounge section for the table to open up. The lounge is huge -- almost half the restaurant -- and is very open and friendly, with at least 7 TVs! With the location, it might be a good roomy place for those PayPerView games. The restaurant section is blocked off from the lounge part and has no TVs (though we could peek through the shutter-like panels). The hostess said they could accommodate our large group in the lounge as well, if we wanted to watch the game.

The servers were very helpful with our large group, who arrived at different times. Our regular items at Cactus Club are:
+ Strawberry Spritz (Sprite with strawberry puree -- free refills!)
+ Guinness (dark heavy beer "stout")
+ Yam Fries with Garlic creamy dip
    + Wings - 15% off Mon-Fri 2-6, Sat 11-6, Sun all day
This location had our favorites. (It didn't have the extra panel of ever-changing menu that Richmond has. Maybe that is one of the "test things out" locations, and this isn't.)

Despite the unlikely location in a new South Burnaby big-box mall, the newest location of the Cactus Club still manages to call up the characteristic glamour of the chain. Low lit and sleekly designed, and with those attractive waitresses and hostesses running about in near-identical black outfits, it makes you feel cool just sitting there in a big booth.

The food was quite good - not spectacular, but darn tasty all the same. My cedar roasted salmon came served on the plank; the smell reminding me of going to a longhouse on a school field trip. Our fish tacos were also delicious - but after having the world's very best fish tacos at Sobo, in Tofino, no other fish tacos will ever quite measure up to those masterpieces of salmon and tortilla. We also liked the smoked cheddar spinach dip for an appetizer, and the great big slab of strawberry cheesecake. Little piglet that I am, I was bursting by the time they rolled me out the door.

I haven't been to the Cactus Club much, so I don't know if the bathrooms are always so nice, but you could completely hang out in one. TVs, magazines, couches - and my favourite thing, a magnifying mirror that read "You're beautiful." Awww.

This was my first time at this Cactus club. The bar was available, and since we were there for a snack and a drink, it worked well. The food was good, although we ordered calamari, and it had jalapeno's as a filler. I enjoy a bit of spice, so it was nice. The original margarita was a mix, which made me a bit sad. We shared fajita's which ended up with alot of filler as well. I don't remember there being so much 'stuff', as in veggies:onions, etc. in their dishes. The waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere was great. It was after dinner hours, 8ish.

I can't believe they don't have Stella Artois available! The food was great and the service was efficient as well. The whole ambiance felt time-warpish as I felt like I was waiting and dining in a discotheque. I have no complaints about the eats though...total YUMMO!
