Review from Doug S.
I wasn't expecting such a cool bar in Quebec City. I was pleasantly surprised by Cabaret Club Le Drague.
I went on a Sunday night (on a 3--day weekend, so it was like a Friday or Saturday night crowd). The bar was pretty hopping as there is a large dance floor on the main floor right off the entrance to the bar.
Downstairs is another huge dance floor disco playing music that can be described as more industrial house-type.
Upstairs is a bar where the more mature men hang out -- and the volume is turned down a bit on the music so that you can hold a conversation. The toilet up the stairs (with a sign saying "men only") is a sight to behold; check out the craziest urinal you'll ever see.
Very cruisy and fun with great, friendly service. -

Incredible! And really unlike any club I've seen in the U.S.
Gay culture is apparently much more popular here--this place attracts such a diverse crowd of all ages and sexualities. We were there Thursday and Friday night for their impressive drag show (all in French, but still incredibly entertaining for us as English-only speakers).
During the show, you might feel a repetitive thumping beneath your feet. This is coming from the CRAZY-cool discotec downstairs where patrons dance and drink on the dance floor beneath the incredible lighting and a balcony of on-lookers that surrounds the entire space.
And just when you think you've seen everything, you might stumble upstairs into a seriously dark yet friendly leather-esque bar where the more mature and mostly male crowd hangs out. It was a nice escape from the young folk downstairs. (We honestly thought there were some 16 yearolds there...what's the drinking age in Canada again?)
And guys MUST check up the most unique set of urinals in the world above the leather bar. There are pictures on the website. 'Nuff Said.
This place is a gem in the middle of an incredibly romantic city.
I was truly impressed. -

A best gay bar in Quebec City. Not a stone's throw from the old city's wall.
Kind of quiet Monday- Thursday. The bar has dancing, and karaoke (mostly French songs). Pool, and of course drag shows.
It is now non smoking and much more pleasant to go there.
Open 10:00 to 3:00am. -

This hands down the best gay bar in the area... it was right out side the hotel i stayed at (hilton), and was a great crowd! I was there for the carnaval, went all over (so did my straight friends) but we all ended up at Le Drauge! Great music! Lot's of areas... just PLEASE be carefull in the men's only (bear) area... it's scary if it's not your thing!
The top dance floor was pretty large, mostly poppy music, bear lounge was dark, had a community toilet (in more ways then one eww) down, there was a side bar, and then another dance floor with a catwalks and a dance floor below, very cool! Whole club had old new york feel to me.
Drinks are good, shots are pretty cheap, normal variety of beer, don't ask for a margarita haha.
No smoking inside, but they provide heated awnings outside for smoking, staff was great... crowd is mostly gay men, LOTS of drag queens, everyone mostly french speaking but hey it's quebec. ALWAYS A BLAST!
Variety of othe activities besides dancing, drag shows, karaoke, slot machines, pool... very nice gay watering hole! -

This place is a blast, and unexpectedly has something for everyone as is described by others here. They have everything from lots of beers to even have nice wines by the glass served in nice stemware. But beware the "house wine"!! They serve it from those soda guns at the bar - very nasty and a first time seeing that! The patio out front gets quite nice and the locals were really friendly, chatting up with the tourists.
