Went back to C1 Art to pick up a mother's day gift for my mom.
What do you buy an always happy 68 year old ex-nun to show her you care? Why the face of another black man (who isn't your father) on a candy jar! We aren't American but for whatever reason she LOVES Obama.
The jar was a steal at $16 (from $35) and the guy at the cash was super sweet and funny. He said instead of placing candy in the jar I could put "Change" in the jar... this is the kind of joke that would have my mom on her ass laughing for days!

C1 Art Space offers a wide array of items you can buy from artists as well as take a class from them. I took their beginner wheel throwing class. The class size is small, about 4 people. You learn to make cups and bowls as well as trimming and adding on handles. They also go through how to decorate your piece. Your pieces are ready to pick up after a week.
It's a good place to get your feet wet as it's affordable (4 classes that run 2.5 hours for $145. I would have preferred more classes to really get the hang of it.
