I found Russell via an ad in a local magazine, and all I can say, he is a lifesaver. As a U.S. citizen residing in Canada, not only do I have to file Canadian income tax returns, but also U.S. federal tax returns for the rest of my life (U.S. law taxes all citizens and perm residents on their worldwide income). With an extremely complicated tax return for my first year in Canada due to part-time residency in the U.S. (where as a resident of New York City my income is taxed by the federal, state and city governments), Russell took his time and his expertise in order to find the best results that will resulted in a lower tax burden for me.
If you are a U.S. citizen living in Toronto or anywhere in Canada (I've recommended him to my cousin who lived in Calgary) , I highly recommend Russell as he provides all his clients with personal tax solutions unlike many tax preparation chains such as Liberty Tax and H&R Block who have little knowledge of U.S.-Canadian tax laws and treaties.
