First of all, the decor here is just gorgeous. I had to keep taking surreptitious photos of everything! Sunburst mirror, huge glass windows, loved it all. My dinnermate said he wanted windows like these in his house!
Second, the food was great! We had the hummous with pine nuts and beef, pretty much killed that. Then my dinner mate had beef shwarma, and I had the shish kabob. Both delicious.
But! The best part of the whole evening?? Dessert! We ordered the original baklava. Oh. My. God. To die for! It was by far the best I've ever had before. Flaky. Buttery. Deliciousness. Highly highly recommended. PS - Our waitress was also super nice and friendly. -

Seriously disappointing. Cute place, warm atmosphere, but only one person working entire place? It made me question the freshness of the food when I walked in and, sadly, it was answered in the affirmative.
Agree with other review that the hummus was bland at best (I mean, Saba makes better, okay???) and the pitas meh. The spinach pies were not fresh, my "Lebanese Fish" apparently is dubbed so because of what - the equally bland tahini over it? Best thing was the steamed vegetables that were likely pre-packaged frozen variety steamed in a bag with butter.
Being this is my first time in the Buffalo area, I hope this is not indicative of the quality of dining here. I feel badly because the woman working was doing all the jobs herself (literally the ONLY one there), but the fact that we were the ONLY table on a weeknight at 7 pm also speaks volumes. -

The meza was good. Not great. My foul was actually delicious. They have about four mediocre beers - including Sam Adams, Corona, Molson, and Labbatts. The kabobs sucked! My home grilled kabobs from Wegmans were so much better. Their kabobs were like overlooked squirrel meat. The crinkle-cut "grilled" veggies were straight out a bag. My SIL kafta looked like over cooked corncobs. The decor wasn't bad. Like someone's living room. The plus was the music made me feel like I was in an ethnic restaurant. The waitress was good though. It would be great to take kids for a meal of Meza. I really did want to like the place....

It was a cute place,,,inside. The staff was friendly and efficient. My husband loved his dish although I cant remember what it was. I had the falafal and I have to say that I have had this dish all over the US as well as in South America and this was the best Ive had so far. I would order it again. The only thing I would change is to add a bit of tahini on the side for dipping as the drizzled tahini was not enough for me.

Service was great but food was just mediocre. We tried the mezza and it's a good mix of everything but taste-wise it was just okay. The pita bread that came with our dinner is thinner (which is fine) but cold and chewy. We also ordered dessert -- rice pudding and baklava. Was not a fan of the pudding -- it had rosemary mixed with it and served cold. So to me it tasted like I'm eating a mushy bar of soap. The baklava was not bad but I've had better at other restaurants.

disappointing. I can't figure out whether all the rave reviews make me sad about Yelp or just sad about Buffalo.
We went for lunch on a weekday. We were the only people there. I can see how it might be cute if it was full of people and music but it was dreary with just some kids at the bar watching cartoons.
The food was meh. My chicken schwarma and falafel was pretty good, but my friend's kakta kabob was kinda spiceless and their hummus was disappointingly bland. I was particularly surprised at how bad the pita was. The prices were more than I expected (about $10 for lunch) and the mezze plate that folks recommend is a whopping $32. eek! -

Top Notch Lebanese cuisine...
Byblos is a hop + skip + jump away from my pad, so it's quickly becoming a CB-fave. Prior to this year I hadn't really ever dabbled in Lebanese food... BIG MISSTAKE! It's kick-ass!
Went to Byblos over the weekend to take advantage of their WNY Restaurant Week special, and as usual... was fully satisfied with the entire experience.
This time around i went with a classic... SHISH KABOB ! Diagnosis = Delicious. The meat was tender and the sides were just-right. The meal came with a hearty lentil soup and backlava for dessert (flaky, sweet and gone in seconds).
Byblos is family owned and i'm almost positive that everyone that works there is related... so you get that homemade, TLC - assurance with every visit. Even the music is authentic... I thoroughly enjoy the Lebanese beats!!!
Do yourself a favor... take a drive and ENJOY BYBLOS!!! -

Byblos is gorgeous inside. Warm sun rooms, big rooms, a nice bar, just walking you know you're in a place that cares about the experience.
As for the food. At lunch today, I had the Baba Ghanouj rolled in a pita. As an appetizer, I had the Lentil soup. It was all outstanding. Lunch is very reasonable, and dinner offers more than enough to choose from. You can't miss.
My wife and I love eating there, and we can't wait to come back again. -

Byblos has excellent food, it's delicious, it's moderately priced, and the atmosphere is absolutely lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed every single molecule of the kebabs and the hummus and such. It's not off-the-charts delicious to the point where I go weekly, but it's definitely one of the best Middle Eastern spots in the greater Buffalo area.
I'm not a fan of Hookah, I'm glad they keep it outside, and I understand it's just to attract more business, but for me, smoking is smoking, and food is food. I only do one of the two, I'd rather not be forced to do both at the same time just to get a good meal. At least Byblo's has a smoke-free interior unlike most Middle Eastern spots these days. -

One of the best restaurants in WNY. Hummus, tabouli, and grape leaves and Mezza. I would highly recommend making a shared meal of the assorted selection Mezza Dinner with a bottle of wine. My family is from Lebanon and this is the best Mediterranean food in Buffalo.

Favoritest Lebanese Ever. end of story. This place is delicious, family run, and their chicken kabobs are deliciously marinated and grilled. The baba is yum. The environment of the restaurant is cozy and charming. My parents swore by the Mezze, but I always stick with the kabobs- why mess with success??? It is kind of out of the way, but the trip is WELL worth it.

Honestly, this is one of the best restaurants in Western New York. After living in New York City for a summer and dining on the Mediterranean food found there, I can come back and know that the hummus, tabouli, and grape leaves are on par, or better, than the best that the US has to offer. I would highly recommend making a shared meal of the assorted selection of appetizers. The key at this restaurant is trying as much as you can while your stomach allows. In addition to the food, the owner is personable, and the setting of the restaurant speaks of the heritage of Getzville's antique district.
