Review from Val G.
It's a burrito. It arrives by bike. What more could you want?
I'll tell you what more, damn it. They only make vegetarian and vegan burritos with the option to have them in a gluten-free tortilla. Combine that with the pedal-powered delivery and you've got yourself one heck of a delicious sustainable burrito.
It's only $7 to have a large and $6 for a small one of these babies dropped at your door on a Friday night (they only operate Fridays 6pm-1am).
As long you live in the delivery zone between Bloor-King and Spadina-Roncesvalles and place your order a few hours in advance, you too can be chowing on one of these bad boys come Friday nuit.
The team of burrito delivery angels has a lot on their plate navigating this chunk of town so we were given a half hour delivery window. He arrived towards the latter half of the window, which was to be expected and was friendly and earned a nice tip, basically, because he biked a burrito over to my house in the freezing cold and that's worth a lot in my books.
The burrito was a very decent stomach-stretching size and surprisingly still retained enough heat that reheating was not required. It went down easy but could have used some more spice. I guess they're just trying to play it safe with low heat since it would be asking a lot to try to customize the burritos to order and you can always add some hot sauce of your own.
I think it's safe to say they've earned a loyal customer right here (and generous address sharer to those locationally-challenged friends so they aren't forced into this type of desperate situation: http://www.youtube.com...).
I'm not entirely sure which pagan deity to praise for the bringing of Burrito Bike to Toronto (from Halifax. Yeah, I know, since when?), but I'll likely just cover my bases and sacrifice another veg-tastic burrito to the powers that be this coming Friday.Listed in: Featured Reviews
