Finally I can get a decent brunch in this town!
When you are in a town where your food options are places like Ricky's, Earls and Boston Pizza - Burnt Toast is a welcome change.
I've only tried this place for brunch but every time I've walked away happy. Unlike other places in town they do know how to poach an egg. Portions are the perfect size, not too small but not gigantic plates that would serve a family of four.
Prices are aligned with what you would expect to pay in Whitehorse but when you factor in the food quality you are getting a great deal.
I'll be back, perhaps for dinner next time. -

Sadly, Burnt Toast has changed hands and with that things have changed. We'll likely try it again but if lunch is as it was on our last visit, we won't be back.

The entire interior is black with touches of wood embellishments and nice touches of lighting - one of my favorites was the atmosphere created by design. I really really enjoyed the "burnt couture".
The food was excellent! We got right in during the lunch rush, the prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area, and the food was excellent. Service was quick, and their french fries are YUMMY! I also saw people hanging out socializing late one night. Most things in Whitehorse close down at 6, which is a bummer if you want to have some fun after the sun goes down. Burnt Toast provides a dark little place to eat and chat the evening away.
Thanks Burnt Toast, keep doing what you're doing! I'm going to take your flair for design back to Fairbanks restaurants and hopefully we get more style-minded business owners. A breath of fresh air from the 1970s type restaurants that we get in most areas of the north. -

Delicious, fresh food made with care. So welcome after 5 days of greasy-spoons coming down from Alaska! Definitely worth a stop for breakfast or dinner!

What Mark said is right on the money. Classy, yet informal. High quality, yet not overpriced.

Great service, really good food and a unique and comfortable atmosphere. Not noisy so great if you need to do business or just want a relaxing meal. This restaurant makes Whitehorse a better place. Definitely worth your time.

Burnt toast..excellent, young but friendly but not intrusive staff. new, slightly pretentious mix of rustic and disco leather decor...Had the pastrami sandwich on marbled rye toast and the buffalo chicken soup. Both were awesome...the corned beef was advertised as being made there and it tasted like it...Warm, thick, fresh, meaty and tender...just enough spicy mustard...The soup was in a creamy broth with carrots and spices. Kate the sandwich and soup slowly...because I wanted both to last forever...
