Bulk Barn used to be one of the highlights of any trip of mine to Masonville. They've got a huge selection of bulk items (and bulk accessories like jars) and are much cleaner and nicer than your average bulk store.
When I lived in London, I wasn't near any good food places, so I was always keen to stock up here on cheap spices, loose candies, and specialty flours. It's also perfect for getting just enough molasses, for example, to make some recipe without investing in a whole package.
Still, it helps to use your discretion here. I never worked up the courage to try some of their loose cereal (I suspect it must get pretty stale, and didn't amount to a huge savings buying in bulk). Their mixes are hit and miss: the cookie dough mix worked fine, but when I tried the fried-fish batter mix, it turned into a runny, unusable mess.
