Feel like travelling the world but don't have the budget or time to hop on a plane to Tim-Buck-Two?
Well jump in your car and head to Buffet Des Continents for a delish meal that will tickle your tastebuds with dishes from around the world. Italian, chinese, japanese, greek, french... That's just the beginning! Every night they generally have a special themed extra something for you to treat yourself with.
One time I went, they actually had taffy on snow. Now that's sensational! Another time, they had fresh sushi. Well, being the sushi fan that I am, I loaded a plate full and it wasn't bad for a non specialty buffet.
Don't be surprised however if a lot of the food is bland tasting, or not too spicy (like most buffets). So that is a disappointing aspect.
You can also get a glass of wine for about $4 or $5 which isn't too bad in itself!
The servers do their jobs, and I don't really have much to complain about this place!
The restaurant also has different themes in different sections of the hotel. You can find yourself in the jungle, in Italy, or even in France. Pretty neat!
Pack your bags, because you may be staying at this restaurant for a while! Or, at least until your belly is full! -

This buffet is truly an international one. Quite pricey, IMHO, but it was the closest one to the downtown Ottawa region.
