Didn't have high expectations, but really who does with movers? To start off they were also over an hour late.
The guys show up and I'm skeptical. One looks like he hangs out at Granville Street clubs and the other looks like he cleans them. And after they move our piano I feel like the biggest ass in the world.
The piano is heavy, like dead moose heavy. They load it in the truck in West Van and it wasn't too tough as it was on the ground floor. The toughest part was backing up the truck. Then they get it to our apartment. They're so worried about hurting our hardwoods, the 2 of them, lift and shuffle the piano 2 inches at a time through our apartment. Imagine lifting a VW Beetle and moving it about 40 feet. It likely took them an hour just from our front door.
I'm trying to be the "cool guy" to the hired help and offer beer. Club guy is in training to be a boxer (going for a run after the move) and the other guy sweetly declines because he chooses not to drink.
I have zero eye for judging other people. These guys did a fantastic job. I can not accurately describe how heavy the piano is, but suffice to say, it ain't ever moving. This place had the best price and the talent to match. -

Recently had to move a satellite office from Toronto to Vancouver. We contacted a number of movers but from the time we called Budget City we knew we were in good hands! They took the time to understand our full requirements, which included the need to stick to a very tight schedule. They gave us some great tips on how to save on the move too!! Their price was reasonable, but what stood out was their professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for long distance moves again!
