Review from Katrina D.
I love Bubble Tea. This place has milk teas, shakes, and slushes. I got the Watermelon Slush and it had a generous amount of pearls in it, in addition to real pieces of fruit... And real is always good.
Matt opted for the Strawberry Coconut Smoothie and gulped his down like it was his freaking job. His only complaint was that he did not get as many bubbles (aka pearls) as I did. Mwahahaha!!! Lucky me (although he tried to steal a couple... okay, he did steal a couple of mine).
Anyhow, this sounds like a 1st grader's review. In my defense, I could not write a serious review about a place called Bubblemania, ya know?! It is damn good and quick!.. Try it if you have the pleasure of visiting (or living in) the beautiful city of British Columbia and are on the Westside! -

Bubblemania has a good variety of bubble tea, milkshakes, and some food items. If you get one of their stamp cards, your tenth drink is free.
On this visit, I got an almond milk tea with pearls. It had actual almond slices in it, though that turned out to be not such a good thing. Still, I'll give them credit for the real ingredients and because I've always been happy with their drinks in the past.
One unique menu item I haven't seen elsewhere is their bubble waffle. It's a waffle with an inside-out pattern, which gives a crispy waffle with bulges containing less-cooked soft custardy goodness. I recommend trying it. -

3 stars for bubble tea - and the extra star for my Bubble Waffle deal :)
It was bubble tea / asian drinks weekend! I was looking for new places to try Downtown and stumbled upon Bubblemania... I couldn't decide what to get but at my last moment, I saw a new drink - blended grapefruit green tea. I saw as the girl behind the counter used half of a real grapefruit (yay to that). The drink had good flavour and lots of pearls... nothing outstanding though. Bf has the blended strawberry pineapple... didn't have the flavour I had anticipated.. maybe the pineapple wasn't ripe enough?.. not sure. For the price we were paying, I have gotten bigger sizes, but that's okay..
The deal that they offer is that if you buy two bubble teas at regular price, you get a bubble waffle for 99 cents!
What is a bubble waffle you ask? It is an traditional asian style waffle in the shape of little balls... has a hint of sweetness to it.. but SOO good. (man I wish I took a picture of it).
There was only one person working and quite a few people started walking in... and I thought I was at the front of the line.. but I guess people were waiting on the patio spacing so service was incredibly slow.......... at least i had a place to sit while I waited......
Would I come back?... maybe for the waffles unless I find another place first!Listed in: Bubble Tea Shops and other…
