Small joint to grab and go. My two favourites are taro and fresh papaya milk tea. You can let them know 'half sweet' if you do not want too much sugar in your drink. Quality is pretty consistent even though I once had a tasteless papaya milk drink during winter. I suspect it is because fresh papayas are hard to come by during winter and they bought a less than sweet batch, so won't really fault them. During the days when they are out of papayas, I get my taro drink. A little filling but yummy all the same. Prices I feel are very fair given their location downtown.

Bubble World is usually a place I can rely on for a great bubble tea when I am downtown.  Farther than I would like to waddle, but I don't mind.

I'm excited that they are going to be serving food soon, now if they could hurry it up, that would be lovely..

One of the only place downtown for bbtea... Maybe the only as well which really sucks... But anyways this is also one of the Starbucks of bbtea of Vancouver but none the less it gets it done.

I come here every year as a tradition before/after fireworks! I love it that it is on the way to the beach and just grab a bubble tea and go.

I find that this store is too small though which is losing it's 1 star right there. I only find this place as a grab and go establishment and not a sit down and hang out store. I don't even want to know why they want to add food onto their menu when it is too small for the food part.... This just boggles me, and Hon's is right down the street too. Like literally 4 stores away.

I do enjoy their service and their regular BB tea that can satisfy my cravings. Note: they need hotter guys working here, most of them are girls, and the guy that works here must be the manager.

Overall, I come here again and again just for the regular and usual BB tea.

I love the fact that you can order any drink "less sweet" here, since most bubble tea places tend to drown everything in sugar. My boyfriend and I split a taro milk tea with boba and it was fantastic.

BONUS TIP: They can take US currency if you happen to be in a pinch and your debit/credit card isn't on you or isn't working for some reason. I suspect however that they cannot process american CC's since this was the only business where our cards were rejected - good thing I had a few bucks handy!

Reminds my Sister-in-Law of Bubble Tea back in Taiwan so she always goes multiple times when visiting us.  She loves milk tea with bubbles.  I always get mango slush with bubbles and lychee.  We just grab and go-SO delicious!

This pearl joint is probably one of the better ones downtown that I've experienced.

Very slow here for business during the day, but I have yet to com here at night.

I got the passion-fruit green tea with passion-fruit jelly and it was delicous mmmmmmmmm.

Bubble World is one of my fave bbt joints, but I usually go to the Kingsway one.

Pass the dreary facade to Bubble World goodness!

I brought my boyfriend here for one of his first ventures into the world of bubble tea.  We both chose lychee slush with bubbles.   Fresh tapioca makes all the difference and they did not disappoint.

Great prices, speedy service, friendly smile, and an amazing selection of tasty bubble tea!

Upon reading about this place, it was referred to as the "Starbucks of bubble/boba shops" in one source, so in this, I was somewhat intrigued. And the shop's conveniently in the West End, where I knew I'd be spending a bunch of time on my visit a few weekends ago. So I decided at some point during the weekend I would stop in. It so happens that upon my visit to Michi Waffle, I discovered Bubble World is basically next door. This is the sort of tea place that uses some powder mixes, but I'm not sure that's exclusive for all drinks. I had a taro milk tea with pearls. So much sweeter than what I'm used to at home in the SF Bay Area, so much so I was unable to finish the drink. While that was one minus, the staff were friendly and quick; I would come back for another visit and hope to have a more balanced beverage.

After walking a long, long way down Robson and checking out all the stores along the way, I needed something to drink.  Something cold, icy, and sweet.  Good thing we ran into Bubble World when we did- it was the perfect place to rest up for a bit and get our energy back before making our way back.

I decided on something I've not seen here in the Bay Area- a mango-peach icy.  Super-tasty, cold, and sweet, it really hit the spot.  It was essentially a smoothie with boba in it, but the combination of peach and mango was perfect.  The menu at Bubble World is extensive, so there were lots of other combinations to try- I just didn't have the time or the space to do it.

The place itself has a few tables and chairs, but I think most people opt to get their drinks to go and drink as they stroll.  In case you want to stay, there are some video game machines in the back, as well as those little toy-dispensing machines you see at bubble tea places everywhere.

I'd be back next time I'm strolling Robson!

    Mmmmm blueberry slush with pearls...
I love this place, but it's second best (in terms of bubble tea) for me compared to Pearl Drops in Burnaby.  The biggest thing I dislike about this place is that they use coffee mate powder instead of milk. However, it proved useful yesterday since I was with someone who is lactose intolerant.  The best part about this place is the pearls are always of perfect squishiness consistency and perfect sweetness.

Anyway, it was still great and it didn't disappoint me yesterday. I love it! I had the pineapple green tea with pearls after I heard someone else ordering it. Maybe it would be nicer with real pineapple juice? But I don't think this place is known for its use of fresh ingredients...(i.e. powders and coffeemate)?

It's ok but not the best I've had.  It will suffice when I'm in the mood for a nearby bubble drink.

I ordered a hot milk tea with pearls then discovered it's made with milk powder (not real milk?, bummer).  It tasted ok but I had hoped for actual milk.

The drink was warm when I received it, not hot.  Oddly, it's served in a paper cup with a lid so there's no way to eat the pearls.  They did give me a plastic spoon though.  It was difficult to manage a cup, lid, and spoon while walking down the street.

The menu offers basic drinks but it wasn't as extensive, nor exciting, as I've had elsewhere.  Cold drinks seem to be the specialty here.

Although it was a challenge to eat them while walking, the pearls were lightly sweet and the perfect texture (not mushy at all).

I haven't been here in a very long time since I discovered Dragon Ball. What happened to this place? I don't know if there was a change of ownership, but it has definitely gone downhill from being middle of the road.

    1. The sign says due to increasing cost, the stamp card was eliminated. I don't know about that because last time I checked our Canadian Dollar has been consistently strong and Dragon Ball is still offering stamp cards.

    2. The plastic cups are flimsy it's practically a hazard to try and hold it properly without flexing and crushing within itself. You're essentially pushing the liquid out you'd have to sip it fast the moment you pierce the cover.

    3. The Boba/Bubble is tasteless and low quality. There was no attempt to sweeten the balls and highlight the drink. Not chewy enough that it feels like it's been sitting there for quite some time. Evident of low foot traffic and/or inferior quality. If you think this is a harsh assessment, this business is after all called - "Bubble World".

For the above reasons, I wouldn't recommend this place any longer.

Although my hot milk tea with pearls was just mildly warm, the smoothie type beverages that other patrons were enjoying looked inviting and I would definitely return to try them.

The business looks oddly sparse with just a few tables and chairs near the front of the restaurant while they could easily place more seating near the back where a big empty space is.

The menu could accommodate more flavour varieties and common deep fried snacks which pearl tea shops carry.

The big chain of bubble tea places around town. You name a city within the GVR, you will probably know where the "Bubble World" is. Providing the downtown Robson crowd with bubble tea, with the nice see-through cups and thick colorful straws.

There is not many offerings within the downtown core for this stuff, and sometimes when you are a recognizable name like 'Bubble World', you obviously have money to throw down to acquire good realestate/location. The drinks are standard with all their other stores, but when you really need one, it fits the bill, especially the slush selections.

Open till midnight, this one is more like the one near Kingsway and Joyce, where there are not many people to stay and sit around. On this night we went, we just didn't want to walk around with our drinks, and there usually is enough chairs and tables inside.

Mmm, bubble tea! Thank god it's easy to drink while walking down the street, because this place is tiny. There are like two tables in it and a bunch of arcade machines. More importantly, though, the bubble tea is great. And I think they started using more natural ingredients recently, because I definitely don't remember there being any tiny bits of strawberry in my strawberry milk tea a couple of years ago.

There's nothing better than a nice bubble tea on a hot day. So refreshing!

With the limited number of BBT shops in downtown, I sometimes stop here to get my fix.

I always have their slushes (my preferred type of consistency), and mostly their matcha slush. It's never too sweet, and never too bland. They almost make it just right. The pearls, however, are not really sweetened, so it doesn't taste perfect.

When my friend got a green tea latte and it wasn't sweet enough, they were glad to take it back and remake one for her. A very nice gesture.

They open till late-at least until 12am, and people that work here are usually in a good mood and quite friendly.

Not the best bubble tea i've had. But its my go-to when i crave BOBAs on Robson, seeing how there aren't that many quality bubble teas on Robson street. Starbucks on the other hand? Take your pick...there are like 4 alone on Robson.

My bubble tea fave? Green Apple Green Tea, no pearls please.

I've only had the slush here but let me you, i'm in LOVE.  Since i came here for vacation I can't find DELICOUS SLUSH back here in nyc.  I've been looking for places and they're nothing compared to this place.

my hotel was right across the street; my friends and I stayed for a week and decided to try this place in the middle of our stay and since then we were there everyday, sometimes twice.  For a decent size the price was 2 something!  Back in nyc, it's a much smaller cup for $3!

Oh yea, I've only tried their mango slush and their lychee slush, i'm not crazy about sugar so I would recommend the mango one (it's AWESOME).  The lychee one was only a little bit sweeter than I would of wanted it but man... I could go for one right now.

Probably gained 2lbs of PURE SUGAR.

Bro got strawberry slush with boba, and I got a Peach Green Tea with Boba. Finished both drinks :)

Really good. Really good prices for the size as well. A little disappointed for the add in prices, one dollar?! Usually its like half of that. It was worth it. The tapioca pearls were perfectly chewy, a little sweet and their was a LOT! Definitely coming back. Another place worth the 4 hr train ride.

WHOOT WHOOT. Bubble World Robsonnnnnnn :)

I'm not a bubble tea expert but I liked my drink here. I got chocolate milky tea with pearls. It was nicely chocolatey and not very tea-y. I liked the pearls a lot - maybe I'm not used to them being sweetened? 'cause I liked these ones fine.

We stopped by Bubble World Robson to try Vancouver tea and compare it to Seattle's. Bubble World' has by far the best milk tea I've ever had.  The tea is not too sweet, not too milky (where you get a white film on your tongue), and not powdery because they have an automatic shaker that dissolves everything. The tapioca is sweetened and has a nice bite to it vs a really mushy one. They take US $'s here. $1 US = $1 CAD

You guys are going to laugh.... I have been living in Vancouver for just over ELEVEN MONTHS... and I have not yet had bubble tea... UNTIL TODAY :) I've just heard that the only good place is the "Dragon Tea" place.. but it's too far for me to get to.. however I really had to get it today and I went to Bubble World, isn't this the first bubble tea shop in Vancouver or something?
I didn't know what to get because their selection was pretty big.. and the prices seemed pretty awesome. I asked for the opinion of the guy behind the counter and he told me lots of people order Taro Milk Tea and or strawberry mango slush. I didn't want to make him feel like an idiot by doubting his expertise and choosing something else.. so I went with the mago strawberry (and I craved mango and fresh fruit!).. and also because I realllllllllllly do no like Taro (someone has to explain to me what makes it taste soo good).
Anyways I got rainbow jelly with it because I like colours and stuck with my decision. OHH LALA this was DELICIOUSSSSSSS... I think they used the syrupy strawberries and definitely used mango juice of some sort but it was sooo tasty and sweet as can be. Maybe I'll opt out for the syrip next time. The jelly tasted like mini jello cubes, firmer than I'd prefer but it was my own choosing so I can't blame anyone but myself.

There are some arcade games in the back and a small group of people having the time of their lives on these games. Seemed like fun!
