So yummy when craving a bubble tea! I love the honeydew and taro slush series.
The bubble tea here is sweet without being too sweet. I find that they put in too many pearls (like most bubble tea places) so I get half the pearls - perfect. I think the consistency of their bubble tea is quite lovely as well. -

I AM A FAN OF THE MALT MILK TEA, chicken knees and the sweet butter toast! :D YUM! I came back twice; I'll come back more. The tea was brewed perfectly in pairing with the malt powder. :)

Love the food, decent service, but I wish the place was bigger!
Sometimes it gets so busy that theres groups waiting outside!
During winter, it sucks, soo cold sitting on that patio table thing outside.
Another plus, they always have something Hello Kitty on the machines inside, they have only failed me once by having some Disney thing. :) -

I don't know why I don't come here more often. The food is fairly good and it's quite inexpensive for the large quantity they give you. They have a fairly large menu and a huge array of teas, slushies, and bubble tea drinks.
It's definitly a good place to come for a late night meal. We came here after the Vancouver Canada day fireworks show because all of us were pretty hungry. It took us a while to decide where to go. Our options were pretty much bubble tea or pho. So bubble tea it is! This place is usually packed and there is usually a small wait to get a table. Last time I was here, which was ages ago, I seem to remember there being more tables, so the place was always crowded. It looks like they decided to take some tables away so there is more room to walk and maneuver around.
For my late night meal I ordered the salty, peppery chicken with rice. It came with two small side dishes, one with their own version of kimchi. It had broccoli in it, which was interesting but good. The other side dish was scrambled egg with tomatoes. I eat this quite often at home so was happy to see it here. The main was pretty good. It was a bowl of fried chicken bits that were heavily peppered and salted with a side of rice with black sesame seeds on top. For my drink I ordered a lychee slush without the bubbles because the company I was with reminded me of the news not to long ago that the bubbles had cancer causing agents in them. It's sad, I do miss those chewy tapioca bubbles.
Overall decent place for a late night hangout and grub session.

I don't know a lot about bubble tea but I know I love what they are sellin' to be at Bubble World!
The prices are quite decent for bubble tea and I am not addicted to the Milky Mango Ice Cream Slush! It's like a milkshake with a super sweet fruity flavor, drools!
This location serves up food and apparently a lot of bad rap music. They have a decent amount of seating but it is almost always full, I find it too loud in there but it's perfect for grabbing a delicious beverage to go! -

Bubble World pretty much has the market cornered in this part of Burnaby, unless you count Crystal Mall. But that place closes early.
Parking isn't too bad as you can usually find a spot along the side streets. Or if you can feed the City of Burnaby if you so wish.
To be honest, the food is actually quite good. The mango shaved ice has plenty of real mango pieces, and the ice was actually not solid blocks. The takoyaki was a bit cold when served, but I can't get enough of the wavy stuff (what is that stuff anyways?) The food can definitely be recommended.
So why only 3 stars? The setup is definitely on the cramped + loud side. I could barely hear my conversation, and had to lean in continuously. Also I felt the tables were a bit too close towards the wall. If you sit at a wall seat, you're screwed for the night. Yes you can just slide the table over, but the problem is that you'll shove your guest into somebody else.
Try to avoid peak hours here to maintain your sanity. -

For me this is one of the best bubble tea places around. The quality is just always there. I know I can count on them for a decent blueberry slush, or pineapple green tea, and always having perfectly sweet balls!

I don't like this place. I think the reason it's so popular and crowded is because it's one of the few places in the area to hang out late at night besides going to a bar (although it isn't much quieter). I used to go here with my friends every week before I knew any better-but it was more about the ability to socialize at 11PM on a Thursday night, the only time of day we were free to meet up.
The bubble tea is always watery-before I even begin drinking it there is already quite a bit of liquid, and by the time I get about 2/3rds of the way through my slush there's no more slush to be found. The coconut jelly (which I usually order instead of tapioca pearls) is really, really sweet and takes away from the flavour of your drink.
The food here is ok-they took away my favorite menu item though (coconut thick toast)-but I think it's better than their bubble tea from what my friends have said (who usually order late night dinners).
I used to love this place, but now I've found better. I much prefer Pearl Drops in Burnaby or, if I want to relax with a friend and eat a meal, Pearl House further east on Kingsway is way better and much quieter.Listed in: Bubble Tea

Aww yyyeah Boba anyone?!?!
Ive tried a lot of Bubble Tea houses in Richmond and Vancouver and by far Bubble World takes takes the cake! my favorites are Taro and chocolate Milk tea w/ pearls, Strawberry slush no milk with coconut jelly and the ever so sexy TOFU DESSERT!!! (did i spell that right?)
I love this place because people are nice, the food is really good and the prices are reasonable. Not to mention they just opened a new location in RICHMOND by Capstan way ! I know where im gonna be spending my Sundays! haha
Bubble World.... you complete me..... that is all -

Always a great place for a quick food grab after all the restaurants have closed.
I used to come here all the time when I was still in High School. It was amazing, and this place is always packed. Most of the time I got around 6:00pm to beat the rush or either 8:00pm on weekend. Most people go around 9-11 which is why this place is so popular, because it is opened till 1:00am.
The area is well-known for hobos, so lock your cars, and lock your doors, and watch out for your children... (You see what I did there XD) Anyways, I love coming here with some friends for a nice catch up and grab some BBTEA. Love it.
by the way, the guys who work here are seriously worth the eye candy, if you are into Asians that is :P -

Very fun place to take a date for a casual meal. The food menu has a good variety of dishes and appetizers. My wintertime favorite is the very spicy beef soup; if you have a cold, this soup WILL clear out your nasal passages! I love bubble tea too and their selection does NOT disappoint. My favorite: Red Bean with milk and bubbles...COLD! So good.
One caveat: this is cash-only establishment...so don't leave your $20's at home! -

Easily the best boba (wait, they don't say "boba" in Vancouver!) place in Vancouver/Northwest. I'd say it rivals that of Tea Station in California.
The pearl milk tea tastes as they should. The service is great, and the environment has a great social atmosphere. It's very clean and easy to find. Good selection too.
The price is slightly higher than other places, but I think it's worth it.
If I could marry a restaurant, I'd propose to Bubble World in a heartbeat. -

Drove to Canada from Washington with my boyfriend. We decided to stay in Burnaby to shop at the Metropolis mall. We were actually just walking around to see what stores and shops were around and saw that this place was pretty packed. It was pretty cold that day, so we decided to get a warm drink. We got a Hot Honey Milk Green Tea. I have to say, that is the best hot boba tea I have ever gotten. The pearls were cooked to perfection and the drink was just right.
We went here again one last time before we left and went back to Washington, but this time we decided to dine in. My boyfriend ordered their calamari, and I ordered some Spicy Tofu Soup (not sure if that is the correct name). The spicy tofu was so goooooooood. The calamari was okay. The drinks we ordered were Honey Green Tea with Boba, no milk. The drink was perfect as well. What else surprised us was the cup it came in. I've never had boba tea in a big mug like that before. Overall this place is my favorite boba tea by far! -

Just freak'n loud I lost my voice at the end of the night. :(
Ok. Maybe I am too old for Bubble World but I swear I won't go back again. Went there to catch up with my girl friends at 9PM at the beginning of a long weekend. We got our table all right. There are LONG lines at around 10PM. The food and drinks are ok, nothing extraordinary. But man, was it noisy! The music was blasting and the people talking in high volume. Sorry...I'd rather be heard and hear what my friends are saying. -

What can be more fun and confusing than bubble tea? I'm still trying to figure out if the pearls should be chewed or swallowed whole... personally I chew them first... however I digress.
This place has an awesome variety of flavors, although I will always be a chocolate bubble tea girl at heart it doesn't stop me from trying others.
In terms of quality, this place is all right, better than a lot I have had. A great way to ensure your stomach is actually stuffed after lunch! -
Review from Melody P.
I love the bubble tea there. It's worth the drive from Seattle to get the bubble tea. The bubble is so creamy and rich. It doesn't taste like water. The bubble (tapioca itself) is cooked just right, not too chewy and not too soggy. This is the place I must stop by when I go to Burnaby!

Average bubble tea for the GVR. The only good thing about this place on the weekend is that it's the only place that is open till 3am.
One more thing, you know this is a Chinese place as it is CASH ONLY! And another piece of info, don't bring your birthday cake here to celebrate someone's special day, this little place has the nerve to charge an additional 15%, what for? For spending more time with your cake taking up a spot at the place. -

If you're new to the world of bubble tea, this would be a good place to go. You've got a lot of options, and the staff will give you recommendations.
The varieties are endless: hot or iced, pearls or no pearls, what kind of tea, and what kind of flavor. I like fruity drinks with a mango or orange flavor. I haven't tried any of the hot drinks, but they smell good and look great for a cold day. -

If I was ever in burnaby craving a quick meal and bbt, this is the bbt goto joint. Though the waiting time sucks, I have yet to find a bbt place in this area that compares in quality.

This location actually has food, so I have come for both dinner and drinks as well as just drinks late at night. If you go later at night, it is so busy there is a line up. It is for people to socialize because it closes late. I just wanted my freakn bubble tea. The drinks are not as good as the other Kingsway location, but the food is not bad. I haven't gone lately because I live closer to Richmond now and have way more options, but if I needed a late night place to hang, this would be an option.

I'm in love with their HONEY MILK TEA WITH GRASS JELLY! I have to admitted BBW in Burnaby is always so busy and their BBT are so good! I can drink the "honey milk tea with grass jelly" everyday because that how good is it. Oh, pearl is very important in bbt because i like my pearls to be soft and chewy enough that is not so hard - have to cook at the right time to achieve that consistency! All my families love to drink their bbt! I know the waiting can be a little insane but I don't know why me and my gf still like to go here everytimes! Good drinks and Good Food! Best BBT in the Lower Mainland! That's is how good I think it is! Believe me I know what I am talking about! I love desserts and I love good food!
