You know when you're driving through a city in a foreign country where you don't speak the language but you _really_ need to find some awesome coffee and wifi and take care of business for an hour or two before getting back on the road?
Well, Brulerie St-Roch is here to rock your world. They're roasting their own coffee, being nice to Americans who speak only English, and making awesome baguette sandwiches like nobody's business.
Based solely on this experience, I'm excited to head back to Quebec and check out more of the city. And eat more awesome baguette sandwiches. -

I would not recommend this place if you were a hardcore fan of Italian coffee.
Macchiato is no good. Since the drink is mainly composed of espresso, without all the sugary syrup and frothed milk to mask the taste, it really brought out the sourness in their coffee. (I drink Illy at home. Let's just say the taste is...incomparable)
Specialty coffee (orgasme) is wonderful though. Again, maybe it's the syrup and milk, but it tasted nice!
This place is very cheap. 2 croissant (big as my face) and our 2 coffee only 12 dollars!
If I had the chance to go back again, I'll sit upstairs and enjoy the view. -

A warm coffee house with good coffee, nice staff, delicious croissants and usable Wi-Fi.
I find this is a great house to sit and enjoy your cup of coffee (which they'll bring to your table) rather than getting your java and running. They have a huge selection of coffee along the back wall as well as a roaster whirling away on the first floor as well.
Both the Cappuccino and L'Orgasme satisfied my morning coffee cravings. I love their croissants, of course the French Canadians seem to do all things "Bread" well, they don't disappoint here.
Some minor notes, there is a 2nd floor seating level that I prefer. It gets you out of the hustle and bustle of the first floor. The girls behind the counter are great even to non-French speakers (I'm working on it). And finally there is a $5.00 min for using credit/debit cards. -

Great coffee spot with a wonderful european feel. The pastries are to all be tried. I loved the chocolate croissant especially. Excellent coffee selections! A gem outside of the Old Town. Coffee lovers come here!
