Ooooh, this is a tough star-level to pick.
On one hand, this is the spot that sold me my lovely rainboots that have saved my sanity in Vancouver. On the other, they first tried to sell me the boot that was discolored from sitting in the window, and likely was on its way to a disintegrating dry rot. Do they even make rainboots out of rubber any more?
The service is always decent -- never outstanding, never any concrete cause for complaint. Perhaps it is just that the store is small so if there is more than just one customer the staff can be a little too busy.
Compared to most shoe stores in Vancouver, the selection at Broadway Shoe Salon is limited. Many of the styles are practical and are great for travelers. In fact, just like a walk through the backpack section of Coast Mountain, a trip to this store manages to revive my travel bug.
