I was really happy with one of the recommendations here and not so much with the other. The Argentinian Malbecs are all the rage, and as they should as the one I picked up here was tasty. The Spanish tempranillo Dos Besos not so great, even though it goes quickly.
Service is friendly and they took their time with me, which is nice, because I take a while to decide on things like wine since I know nothing about them.
I would definitely come back here because I trust their service and they're pretty friendly. -

I gotta hand it them for service. I waltzed in, said I had cheese (for a Yelp UYE) and needed a wine. He asked me about my budget - and I gave a loose one : $13-18. I asked for a white (to combat the summer heat) and to compliment the cheeses and, to my surprise, he gave me a great one at $13 price point!
No trying to upsell me, no nonsense, just knowledgeable! And in and out with a great priced wine...chilled!
Frugal tip: I might park my car in the underground parking lot at the Safeway across the street and jay-walk across...but I only recommend it for the brave of heart!Listed in: BC's Spirits, Beer and Wine...…

This wine shop is a beautifully arranged. I stopped in looking for a bottle of Mexican wine and, although they didn't have any offerings from the region, I could see that their stock is otherwise pretty expansive.
If you're tired of the usual suspects available at your local BC Liquor Store, head here to be surprised and intrigued.
The wine shop also hosts well-planned tastings fairly regularly and is on-guard with recommendations at the ready.
