Okay kosher food if you're in the area (say, shopping at Syms). Pizza and other dairy fare, down a flight of stairs.

No trouble finding "New York attitude" at this place.

There's a menu posted in the cafe -- close to the entrance at the bottom of the stairs as you walk in.  My friend and I were perusing the menu and decided to order a couple of deep dish pizzas from the menu.  After getting in line and placing our order with the "cook", we sat down.  We noticed he was making a couple of smallish thin-crust pizza so I went up to double check.  Yes, that was our order that was going into the oven.  I reminded him that we had ordered a couple of "deep dish" pizzas -- not thin crust.

The manager walks out and asks what the problem is.  I say "we ordered deep dish, not thin crust"  He says -- its the same thing -- dough is gonna rise.

    OK.. whatever.

Pizzas come out flat as a pancake (thin crust -- dough did not rise at all).. we go to pay.. they bring out a couple of skimpy side salads.

    I say, "What's this?"

Them: "What does it look like?  It's a salad."

    Me: "I didn't order it."

Them: "It comes with the pizza.  That'll be $7.50."

Me: "The deep dish pizza should be $6.25."

Them: (Points to sign above kitchen ... pizza comes with salad -- $7.50)

Me: (Points to menu on wall)  "According to your menu your deep dish pizzas are $6.25."

Them:  "Those menus are old.  We don't use them anymore."

Manager:  "Ok, charge her $6.50 for the pizza."

WTF?  I must've missed something somewhere -- I order a deep dish, they give me thin-crust without even asking if it was ok with me, then charge me extra for a salad I didn't order using the excuse that the menu I ordered from (that was posted in a very conspicuous location on the wall in their restaurant) was old and out-dated..... and then in the end, take off the salad but charge me MORE than the menu price?

I know.. I need to pick my battles .... wish I had walked out without the pizza but my friend was hungry....
