Review from Martina M.

I came to the British Columbia Wildlife Park for the annual Wildlights Festival during the Holiday season with my fiance and his parents. There was plenty of free parking available at the park. Admission to the festival was $11/adult, but we got a family discount so it cost us $40 instead of $44.
The festival is really great, especially for kids. There is tons of light displays, including some interactive ones that are activated when you push a button. There are two laser shows, one at 6:30pm and one at 8:30pm. One thing I really liked about the festival is the Wildlife Express train. For $1/person, you go for a ~10 minute train ride around the park and see many of the light displays up close. I recommend sitting near the front since the motor can be noisy.
For kids, there's a face painting area and a petting zoo (although only goats are there, so it's more of a goat zoo). There's also a clown that puts on a show throughout the evening, and a small holiday maze. Playground equipment is also scattered around the park.
One thing I really liked is that the cost of food and drinks is very reasonable. Nothing costs more than $2.50, including hot chocolate, apple cider, popcorn, candy bags, and other goodies. Next to the refreshment booth is plenty of fires to sit around and warm up.
Overall, for a fun place to take the family, I highly recommend going to the British Columbia Wildlife Park.
