Review from Sachi M.
We chose Brite Blinds because of their quick quotation, the best price, and the fastest lead time until installation. We were very happy with the product and the service. (I thought I'd give you a summary first, since this ended up being so long.)
Of the few Roller Shades sellers I found online, Brite Blinds had the most comprehensive Quote form. It required having to know the size of your windows, but I had measured them already, so I liked not having to wait for a guy to come to get the quote. The quote was emailed back to me within the afternoon! (The other companies had a basic "we'll call you" form, so I had to wait for their phone call.)
They also offer an option of (a) product only, (b) product delivered, (c) product installed. We got it installed.
The Sales guy was knowledgeable, and came to our old location to show us samples of the fabrics we could choose. It took him some time to find samples of fascias/valances to show us photos of, though. I was surprised that they don't keep samples of those. But everything is made locally in Burnaby, so I guess he took pictures of ones that came off the press(?). He came to the location we were ordering the blinds for, and professionally measured before making the purchase order official.
But "official" was just us saying "yes". They didn't make us sign a work estimate or make a down payment. I was surprised by that, since they are custom made to our windows' dimensions in the fabric and colour we specified.
Another person called me to arrange the installation appointment. I could tell she is also experienced in the business, since I casually mentioned something about security technicians, and it immediately occurred to her to ask if there are any new bars or anything installed by the windows since their salesperson measured.
The installation guys were pleasant, too. three of the aluminum fascias were a bit too long to fit, but they came back the next day, as promised. They brought the invoice with them on the installation date, and we paid by Visa. Easy. They mailed us the receipt later.Listed in: FTR (or Second or Third), Office Move
