    I like little galleries because when you walk into them you instantly become a critic.  If is were a big time gallery it would be different because someone with much more knowledge than you chose the art on the walls and they probably had good reason to do so and so you have to defer to their better judgment. As an amateur critic I can happily say that the Brights Gallery has some very nice paintings.  Most of the work brings to mind the Group of Seven, which is not a bad thing at all and really I think there should be more homages to the great Canadian painters.  I liked his gallery, it is nice and small and you can see every painting in less than 5 minutes and that's counting an extra long look at each one and while that shouldn't be my only criteria it is a bit of culture and it's quick which is a very good way to do it.
