This mall isn't your go-to shopping centre for everything you want and more. It's more like a local community mall with the essentials like dental and health clinics, insurance providers, a CIBC branch, hair salons, a London Drugs, Sears, and Zellers, a few scaled down chain clothing, jewelry, shoes and knick knack shops and a food court.

Notable shops: DAVIDs Tea, Cobs bread (for you carb lovers), Starbucks, Kin's Farm Market, IHOP, Brentwood Florists, BC Liquor branch, and Everything for a Dollar and More (there's actually good stuff at this dollar store!)

I may be biased coming from Edmonton and having a supermall to set the standard, but this mall is BOOORING.

I come here on my lunch breaks for food every once and a while just because it is close to work! Here are some of my lunch faves in this mall:

    1) Starbucks-- it's never too long of a wait and they have a patio outside for sunny days!

    2) Cobs bread-- cinnamon buns... enough said.

    3) DavidsTea-- I'm a hipster, what can I say?

    4) Koryo Korean BBQ-- if you've never had a BBQ Beef Flamer, then you should probably stay far far away from this dangerously great food court restaurant.

    5) Kim's Farmers Market-- they have tons of fresh fruits and veggies if you're looking to just pick up something healthy to snack on! Not that I ever do... but it's nice to know the option is there if I ever stop eating junk food.

Other than lunch, I've kinda poked around at American Eagle (am I too old for that?) and Aldo. There really isn't anything good here for shopping... if you need a new cell phone, there are like 20 cell phone stores. Oh, and they have a London Drugs which is good for almost anything.

I've definitely experienced better malls, so don't seek this one out! But it's okay if you're nearby and just need to pick up a few things.

An easy to get to mall with London Drugs, Sears, Zellars, and many cell phone stores.  No grocery store though but Kim's Vegetable Market.  There are enough to eat here though: the food court is descent with a variety of choices Many coffee places (2 Starbucks!) too.  There is McDonald and IHop as well.

Oh such a sweet little mall located in North Burnaby. I grew up going to this mall all the time as I lived across the street from it. I remember it from before it was renovated and much smaller than what it is today and even though I no longer live in the area I still stop in on my way home from time to time. Now the main thing to remember about this mall is that it is small.. yes small! Don't go comparing it to Metrotown, it is nothing like Metrotown. It has the essentials, Sears, Zellers, London Drugs, Kin's Market, 2 dentist clinic's, medical clinic, 2 Starbucks, IHop plus much more.

When I want stres free, no crowds, a quick wander than this is the mall I choose. Well here and there sister/brother mall Lougheed Town Centre which is a bit bigger.

This mall is shoe shopping heaven.

Do you need shoes? They gots plenty of shoes... My husband needed boots for the upcoming El Nina (or is it El Nino) winter. He got such a great deal so I went back the next week and got myself a pair like 60% off.

Okay, so they have more than just shoe stores (those are the only ones I am really interested in though). They have a London Drugs, a Kins, a Zellers that will become a Target... if I am too lazy to walk from one end of the mall to the other, there are two Starbucks.

This place is crazy on the weekend. I go on weekday nights at 8pm. I ain't a browser, I am in and then out.

The mall that I grew up with. Yes, this once is classified as DRU's HOOD. I am totally starting a list for that. Oh wait, it could be a bad thing too, people can stalk me... HRM...

Anyways, this mall was starting to die in the years past. Thanks to the Skytrain this place is back up and pumping again. Well, kinda? They really need better stores here, but to be honest the neighborhood is funding it very well. All the old people go to London Drugs, we got two Starbucks in the establishment. Sushi and Korean BBQ in the food court. Don't forget we have an EB games too as well.

This place is forever a Brentwood neighborhood establishment. I still wish they could grab more people to come here so the traffic is not so dead. The food court is always lively because there are the TD office bank people and the Telus people across the street.

I am surprised we got an IHOP and McDonalds here as well. Pretty cool, and the Sears is always awesome too!

This mall is nothing but just average and nothing special. Come here for food court food and just grab some simple shopping done. Oh and we need the GAP again here. Or maybe an H&M... HRM....

Brentwood Mall has been a choice location for me for years.  Basically what started as a love based on proximity (close to work and home), has grown into real love.

What I first loved about the mall, other than its location, was the fact that it had everything you could possibly need in a mall and it was usually quiet.  Things have changed over the years in terms of the size of the crowds here but I still love it.

A few years back they expanded the food court and redid the seating options.  It also allowed for an expanded choice in food stalls.   Welcome to Koryo Korean BBQ, which is one of my favourites alongside the PitaKing, which has been around forever.   So hard to decide now and I'm terrible making choices when I'm hungry.  Aaargh!

Parking is usually decent at this place.  I usually park around the back by the Zellers/London Drugs entrance.  If this is busy, I park in the upper Sears parking, on the north-east corner of the lot, where parking is plentiful and the mall can be accessed through Sears.

If you live close to this mall, by all means go. There is free (and plentiful) parking, a Roasty Jacks in the foodcourt (best foodcourt food EVER) and all the basics. Let me repeat: basics. If you're choosy and looking for something special, this mall is too small potatoes for you.

My gf's and I went there to look for bridesmaid dressesbecause they have a Bryan's Bridal store here. The bridal store was ok, but didn't have what we were looking for so we ventured out into the mall. 5 minutes later, we'd circled the entire place. That is only a small exaggeration.

They have a Sears, so we gave it a chance. I mean, many other Sears stores have decent (though not always chic) dress sections. Guess what? The dress section was stripped bare. Oh well.

They have a Zellers, a London drugs that in fairness, we did not enter. I know though, that if I lived in the area (and was looking for anything other than a special dress) this place would have everything that I could need on a whim.

Would I travel out of my way to come here again? Probably not. Would I be happy to have this place close by to my home (which it isn't)? Absolutely.

    3 Solid stars. It's A-OK!

For a new parent, getting your child exhausted for naptime or bedtime is a lot like having your car's fuel empty light blinking but realize the car doesn't stop running for several miles.  There is still a lot you need to burn off before it runs completely empty.   So to keep your darlings entertained and tired out try the Brentwood Mall kid's play area.  It has been recently reno'd (date?), has rubberized padding on everything in the play area.  there is a slide, plenty of area to run and lots of children between 0-4. Come and check it out. Its free of course!

Talk about a mall that had so much potential, but dropped off on the wayside. There is a beautifully designed Skytrain station outside that practically hauls people to this location, and yet there is not much in this mall. I will say that the size of this mall is pretty good, with the expansion of the back-end of the mall, the expansion forward of the food court, and the nice tent like roof, they have done a great facelift to this place compared to what it used to be.

I will say that they have one of the better bigger London Drugs in here, the other big box stores they have are Zellers and Sears, which, unless you have to go, you really wouldn't, and those places aren't really traffic luring stores. They used to have a GAP here, but even that shut down, and when a place like this shuts down, it just tells me there is not enough foot traffic.

There are some stores here that deserve good mention, like Cobs Bread, TWO Starbucks, a government liquor store, and a Korean BBQ in the foodcourt to name just acouple, and that is actually impressive. This mall just needs a little something else, maybe a supermarket to help it over the hump.

I have to agree with the other reviewers that Brentwood is a fairly "meh" mall. On the plus side, it's conveniently located, parking is good, and the range of stores is fine. You need coffee, drugs, magazines, a taco, booze, jeans - it's all here. On the negative side, navigation is weird (one escalator, confusing bathroom signs), and there aren't any exciting destination stores in this mall, nothing you won't find anywhere else.

It's sort of a workaday mall, good if you just want some random stuff without hassles and crowds, bad if you're looking for retail therapy.

I'll give some credit to Brentwood Mall for being the best renovated mall in Burnaby. The mall looks a lot better after the major renovations and it's actually a lot brighter and more modern. That's about it. Brentwood Mall can be best described as a vanilla flavoured mall. London Drugs, Sears, and Zellers are a few of the vanilla flavoured stores. It's a nice mall, but there's nothing really punchy or exciting about it.  It has the feeling of space like Metrotown, but without all the crowds.

Brentwood Mall is a mall for North and Central Burnaby residents and you will rarely find people from Vancouver at this mall.  I spotted Squire Barnes from Global TV shopping here. He is like so short, like 5'2. Oh yeah, Squire Barnes is from Burnaby and he works in Burnaby too.

Brentwood Town Centre had its days of glory, but alas those days have long passed. Once a bustling mall in the heart of Burnaby, it is now a ghost mall with people going there onlt because their doctor or dentist still operates out of it. There's a few good shops still there (ie. Aldo and American Eagle), but its really nothing to write home about - besides Aldo and American Eagle are in every mall!

Their department stores consist of Sears and Zellers - again nothing to rave about... but if you're in the area and want a coffee, just pop into one of the Starbucks' that's in the mall.

I'm happy this mall is so close.  It has all the essential, without having to worry about going over your spending limit: a liquor store, Cobs bread, Zellers, London Drugs, cheap clothing store, Sears, phone companies, banks, book store.  It's a hub for Millenium Line commuters. My only qualm is that I wish they had a different, local coffee company selling me lattes instead of 2 starbucks.

If you want shoes or a new cell phone, its kind of the place to go, because that is what 80% or the mall consists of. It has quite a few shops, but a lot of them are services, it is great for people with kids, as they have a good program here. Its a good place to go if you want to go pick up a few things and dont feel like becoming frazzled with a packed mall like metrotown, but if you want options, there isnt much to choose from.

Brentwood Mall is certainly not operating at full potential. The mall is usually so dead you can bowl down the aisles and not worry about hitting anyone. Sad but true.
I definitely like the convenience of parking and skytrain drops you right at the door. They have IHOP right at the front of mall and your usual Starbucks and McDonalds. On a good note they have Cobbs bread, mmm Cobbs bread, a liquor store and Purdys Chocolates what more could you want. Food court is standard...Manchu Wok, Quinzos, Roasty Jack..nothing too outstanding.
As for clothing they have Suzy Shier, American Eagle, La Senza, Stitches & Le Chateau.
They do a London Drugs and Zellers for chain stores.
There is just something missing in Brentwood, no real excitement. My blood doesn't boil the same way it does when I walk into Metrotown, no real adrenaline rush.
I do frequent it about once a month and wish I would see more improvements but wishful thinking. It is pretty standard but unfortunately is missing a pulse.

If you need it, you just might find it here. Adding walmart could only improve this mall though, because Zellers really is no Walmart in any form. The cellphone accessory stall proved an ideal source for a plasic case for my last phone and the dollarstore perfect for household odds and ends.
