Review from Chris P.
Brass Vixens in the new incarnation of Aradia Fitness which used to operate out of this location. Due to some rebranding all Aradia's are now knows as Brass Vixens. And because it isn't just a clever name, you will in fact find 6 BRASS poles in this pole studio.
And a beautiful studio it is! Located in the basement the space is cozy yet with plenty of floor space to house 6 poles. Classes taught here include both pole dance and hula hooping. With its pink walls and huge mirrors there is something just so amazing about this studio and is a very welcoming environment for both beginner polers and advanced polers alike.
I came in for some pole practice during one of thier open pole time sessions and absolutely loved it, this is defintiely where I will be doing some serious poling from now on. I also had the fortune of poling with Alex who is one of the best pole instructors I have ever worked with. If you're interested to learn the art of pole dance take a class with Alex, she will have you spinning on the pole in no time!
I especially like the brass poles as they provide a bit more stick than thier steel couterparts. While both have thier advantages I find that on a brass pole I am a bit more adventurous due to its stickiness. On a steel pole its more about holding on with my own strength and therefore building more strength. So brass is a bit more fun, steel is a bit more disciplined. However, that is just my opinion.
And need to mention, shoes are not allowed in the studio! Please remove them outside and carry them in. Your co-operation is much appreciated!Listed in: The February Fast, Happy Poling
