This was a tough one to rate, thought it would be a 3 star place but thinking more in to it I'd say more like 3.5! It's pretty much similar to any decent mall out there, which actually is a good thing to say about the City Centre because it does not look like much from outside but in recent times they have been expanding and it's actually good looking in the newer sections.
Sure you don't get any stores you can't find in any other mall but that's exactly what a mall is supposed to be right? It's not full of high end shops and offers the casual shopper a good amount of places to go shopping and the area surrounding it almost feels like an oasis, with a Starbucks (few and far between in Brampton), a library, LCBO, Beer Store, Rabba, Freshco and more all flanking to "across the car park" here.
I far prefer it to any strip mall or Shopper's World, and it keeps expanding, so good on them.
Nothing else much to say here, there's a Bestbuy, I'm a fan of that? -

In the two years I lived in Brampton, this mall considerably 'stepped up' given its make over, additional wing, new stores, small business stores, and new restaurants. Its a mall where you can get the job done, whether you need to quickly pick something up, get a gift, salon services, or need to go to the bank, grocery store or dollar store.
Giving it an additional star for the facelift, and opening my favorite restaurants closer to home! -

How's that joke go? She don't look like much but she can shoe a horse. No no. She's not much to look at but she can toss a hubcap. Hrm. I really should have listened to the folksy babblings of my stroked out grandfather. Anyway, Bramalea City Centre doesn't look like much from the outside but I'm rather impressed by what I found inside and outside. As the name implies, it really does appear to be a city centre. In addition to the mall proper, there's a couple civic buildings, a Price Chopper grocery store, and a pretty nice Starbucks in a little strip mall adjunct to the mall proper.
The proper mall is two levels with the large food court on the second level. The food court has some nice booth-like seating and a Manchu Wok. There's a Timothy's coffee within the food court level and a Second Cup on the first floor with its own seating. As noted above, Starbucks die hards can find one within the city centre's parking lot.
There's a Metro grocery store attached to the mall and a stand alone Price Chopper. Also on the grounds one can find a stand alone Moxie's which the single men at my company seem to think is either a pickup joint or a place to go look at the alluringly displayed bottoms of very young waitresses. I dunno.
It lacks many of the upmarket shops one might find at Yorkdale (like a Brown's Shoes, Lacoste store, or Club Monaco). It does appear the mall is undergoing a rather substantial expansion with a better class of stores coming. There's a Best Buy attached to the mall which is somewhat unusual.
Just avoid the Kiss Me I'm Irish store. They appear to threaten prospective customers with arrest for taking photos of their signage with a mind to highlighting a seemingly unique mall store. Seriously, the store needs to hire staff who can recognize an interested customer, not bitch them out.

this mall is under construnction and is starting to get better, still a family mall but it has to get better stores inside, some clothing stores are dated, a and p and zellers, give me a break...I remember Yorkdale as a kid, it had family restaurants, a and p, no food court, even a soft ice cream machine in the centre... btw...Sunday shopping was non exsistent.... thanks to that fur salesman on Spadina... Paul whatever.... thats another story...York dale has adapted and I think Bramalea should be a real competitor, by ousting thecrap stores and compete with Square One and Yorkdale as a premier mall......

Since the new side opened, the mall has had a major (extensive) face lift, the new part of the mall is awesome and rivals any of the big malls with a glass spacious entrance, 75 new stores.natural lightin and massive halls, convient multi level parking and still the outside continues to grow, awesome job, way to go Bramalea City Centre, they have up the ante with the makeover....
