first off...coming in from california in a snowstorm and record cold...
i had no gloves and was slipping around in my lil booties.
shopping around yaletown in a slight daze. i was quite hung over on the plane ride and packed some strange pieces at 6am...so i went around shopping near the hotel.
the fellow working there was super friendly and sweet. he relayed several options for drinking and dining. hearing that i was quite unprepared for the cold, he offered gloves, a scarf and some boots when i bought some items.
how is that for service?!
they have some well selected fashions. some aren't for the average joe but why come here if you are looking for something you can find at any run of the mill store?
a lil style goes a long way... -

I was doing some window shopping in Yaletown a while back, and as I passed Boutique Vasanji, I was lured in by a pair of cute shoes in the window that were shockingly inexpensive. Much to my suprise and delight, as I was looking through the clothing in the shop, I found that all of the prices were very reasonable. Even better, the clothing was unique, and there were statement pieces abound.
The gals that were working were super welcoming and friendly, and they encouraged me to try on everything and anything. I ended up leaving with a cute top and a terrific tartan skirt. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a beautiful coat that was on sale for $45.
Vancouver needs more clothing stores like this one: high-end clothes without high-end prices. Marvelous, dahling!Listed in: From Blah to Beautiful

Love, love, love Vasanji! At first I overlooked it as another "Atomic Model" or equally overpriced Yaletown boutique. I decided to give it a second look though during sale season and I scored a great pair of leather booties for $40 but I also noticed some great designer pieces for very reasonable prices.
What I discovered was not a bargain boutique, but rather, the best kind of mid range-upscale boutique, one that actually carries designs that you'd actually wear and can kind of afford! -

For me, this is exactly what I've been craving: international designs from Britain and France! I lived in Britain for 6 months many moons ago and I truly learned about fashion. I am always surprised at how long it can take for particular designs to reach our shores but Vasanji is certainly helping the cause, along with some VERY pretty French designs as well. Fab!
