With our love of traditional toy shops the window display made this store a definite visit. The inside was packed with every category of toy you could imagine and the owners have obviously been sourcing toys far and wide for sometime. Favorites were the big selection of girls play tea sets, the wide selection of plastic foods, fruits and veg, laid out as if you were in a farmers market, the selection of wooden ride-on toys and the jack in the box selection (always a hit with babies).
We would have returned to buy but on the way out I noticed that the lady behind the counter was looking at something closely on her computer screen as we walked up from the back of the store. As I got closer I saw that it was a surveillance camera watching our every move with zoom!. The store wasn't that big!! and everywhere was visible from the cash. We must have been the only customers on this wet and windy morning and she couldn't be bothered to come out from behind her security "control centre." Forget it, with that attitude we won't be going back.
