Review from Ayaka H.
Boulangerie is now one of my favorite places for quick tea and food/grab and go in Yaletown. Quick because the seats are limited and are not particularly comfortable. All seats are high chairs, no sofas you can lounge on like at Blenz!
I've ordered their fruit tart, blueberry cheesecake, strawberry chessecake and tiramisu, organic fruit cake and they were all delicious!
The minestrone was very filling and was extremely nourishing for my upset stomach I had a few days ago.
Chai latte was actually the best I have ever tried yet in Vancouver. Not too sugary and had more of a spicy flavor.
Just one thing to remember: salads quality are really poor, so skip the salads. If you order a chicken or Avo salad you will get mostly lettuce and very thin, maybe 4 slices of chicken / avo. I think it comes with bread of your choice and the roll bread I got was very stale and I could not finish it.
Basically everything in the display especially their huge selections of cake look gorgeous and are all so tempting. -

Lovely sandwich to give me energy as I power through my meetings- yeah!
I was in need of some good fresh meat and bread. I got it with a lovely smile and sweet graceful demeanor.
A quick pick me up as I head to my next appt in a few minutes.
one caveat: $7.57 for a small sandwich is a bit pricey, hence the 4 star review.
but totally worth it if you are about to faint from low insulin levels...

I ordered a small panini (Italian proscuitto, swiss, lettuce and tomato) with soup (Cream of Cauliflower today). This lunch combo is $7. I was definitely full after, I can't imagine how big a "large panini" is!
There are many varieties of sandwiches, but this one is my favourite. While it's nothing too special, it's a healthier, cheaper and quicker alternative to many of the restaurants around Yaletown. -

This place has been here for ages... or at least 8 years I think. The beverages are okay. They did make me a blended iced mocha. The pastries are where it's at. They should call themselves a patisserie because I would buy more pastries here than bread. And they don't seem to have that many bread options. That being said, the few things I have tried here (mocha, coffee, cookie) were just okay.
I remember that they are open pretty late compared to most independent coffee shops in Yaletown because I do remember coming here for dessert one evening after dinner.Listed in: Latte? Capuccino? Americano?…

This is a lovely little boulangerie in Yaletown if you're looking for a quick bite to eat, or if you're craving something sweet.
I've been here on a few occasions, and I've never been disappointed. I was dining at a restaurant in Yaletown with some of my family on my birthday last year, and although our meal was good, the dessert menu didn't impress. Thankfully I remembered this spot, and we all headed over for delicious french cakes and pastries. Being the birthday girl, I made sure to steal a bite of everyone's dessert (because they just CAN'T get mad at me on my birthday, right?), and everything was very tasty.
I've also been here during lunch, and they make lovely panini sandwiches. Prosciutto and brie on freshly baked french bread -delish! -

It may appear I am developing a bit of a thing for croissants, well, alright you've got me! Dropped in here with youngest for a mid morning snackett- very sweet service. She had a bagel with jam and I had an almond croissant. Bagel far too chewy, not chewy and dense like a bagel should be, just fluffy and chewy. Croissant ? I had high expectations, given the name of the place, but the croissant really was mediocre. My husband has this thing about North American flour not being good for making French pastries9too much protein I think) and this was a prime example of what he means. Chewy in texture, none of that gorgeous flakiness you should get! Marche St George I bow to your superior croissant.
Having said all that the baguettes looked OK. -

Working in Yaletown means that I've been here several times on my lunch break. I've only ever had the salads (being all girly and trying to avoid pastries!) and they've been good. I like it most for its ambiance - lots of gorgeous pastries lined in a row, and garage style doors that open onto a patio on sunny days. I've sat on the high tables out on the patio watching people walk by (which, in yaletown, can make for some pretty entertaining viewing *cough* hipster fashion *cough*).
This is not a restaurant, its a quick-service place to get a sandwich and salad when you're in a rush. -

Sometimes I have this false expectation that things in Yaletown are "supposed to be good" just because its in Yaletown. I've been here a handful of times wanting something to snack on while walking around and always left feeling disappointed with my purchase.
Most recently, I found the mini baguette to be pretty flavourless and the almond slice was over priced and it would've been more appropriately called "almond sliver" it was so small.
Too bad, great location but nothing special. -

So I've been here a many more times since my last review as it's one of the closest lunch places from my work...
My verdict: Not as good as I once thought it was.
My reasons: The lentil soup is salty, the butternut squash soup is a bit too gingery, the cookies are hard and dry, and the cheesecakes have this weird glaze over the fruit that taste almost chemically.
Would I go back? For sure, because I really do enjoy their sandwiches and croissants!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Though it's been around for years, it wasn't until our return from France that we realized that this Patisserie in Yaletown makes authentic almond-filled croissants (and many other wonderful goodies & breads).
They have big roll-up doors that open the cafe to a little patio during the summer - feels very european. They serve great espresso, too, so it's a nice way to start a day...
They have a wide selection of breads but I've never indulged. -

Not sure why I gave only 3 stars last time. Having been satisfied much so last time with the Tiramisu, I came back for other desserts. It's great to see they brew Intelligentsia beans (I love them). This time I got a giant biscotti and a blueberry cheesecake. The biscotti is quite soft! It has the right amount of cranberries and I like it soft anyways. The cheesecake actually survived the many tumbles siiting inside the picnic bag. I thought it would have lost its shape and the blueberries would be tumbling inside the paper container. But voila! Everything is still intact. It has the right amount of cheese flavor. Their other desserts look so good, although too much icing sugar on the almond croissant... I can't wait to try their other desserts on a next visit ;)

PLEASANT, FRIENDLY, AND GOOD!
I go to Bolulangerie La Parisienne often - they always have a fresh assortment of Croissants. I mean, how often do you really eat Croissants....so when I do get one, I enjoy it.
Great coffee! -

Desserts were an absolute let down. The chocolate eclair tasted very old and should not have been sold. The "cheese cake" Was nothing more than aged cream cheese on a soda cracker. Their decor is lacking for a trendy Parisian style bakery. Has a great location and great potential but they need to step up the quality of their food.

If all you're hoping for is a good cuppa, or piping hot hot chocolate, this is a perfectly adequate boulangerie in Yaletown. It's very convenient to the SkyTrain--just one longish city block southwest--and it's about halfway between David Lam Park and BC Place Stadium.

Friends of ours treated us with a buffet of treats from Boulangerie and I made it a point to go back and check it out. French cookies and cakes and croissants oh my! They also serve ready-made fresh baguette sandwiches and very tasty coffee. Boulangerie serves as a retreat from the chaos outside and a treat for your taste-buds.

Great small place. The butternut squash was great and teh sandwiches looked very appetizing. I had the tiramisu and thought that the cream to fingercake ratio was a bit too high and the cake was too dry. The menu selection was very good though with lots of filled croissants. Unfortunately, I'm not a big croissant fan, so don't appreciate that as much. servcie was really friendly.

Located in the heart of Yaletown's Mainland Street, Boulangerie La Parisienne is perfectly situated to stir a rumble in your belly. With the quaint décor and charmingly cursive font, it's easy to lose yourself in their chocolate almond croissants and pretend you're elsewhere. Rich, decadent and beautiful, it's how life should be... at least until you've finished that last bite.

It's a bakery with a fancy name that makes really almost authentic French baked goods and sells coffee. I might have gone on a bad day, but I found the coffee to be a little too milky and not strong and the pastry was so-so. The competition of the chocolate place up the street, Starbucks and Blenz, another coffee shop at the end of the block and the European pastry shop on the street above makes this little spot blend into Yaletown's familiar and predictable fare.

beeeeeest chai latte l've ever had!!! so creamy, tastefull, rich, quite small but l guess is because of the french theme, their pastry is absolutely delicious! location is fantastic, the place needs some renovations for sure, but is a good cozzy place.
