I took my 88 year old Aunt and my sister out to lunch. The Mayfield Inn is close to Auntie's place, so it was a good call. Walk right in past the front desk to your left. We waited only 30 seconds during a busy lunch rush to be seated. This staff knows what they are doing. After disappointing service from our breakfast venue, I was ready to be waited on properly.
There is a fantastic lunch buffet for $19.00, but since we had all eaten breakfast we thought we would all just have clubhouse sandwiches with side salads. Well!..... There is enough food on one plate to feed all three. We had much of it boxed up to take home. We enjoyed the little bits of dried cranberry and walnuts in the super fresh salad. Giant slices of rotisserie chicken and lots of yummy bacon stuffed into perfectly toasted whole wheat bread. I appreciated the big, crunchy dill pickle. Our friendly server kept our glasses full. Auntie likes that they are wearing proper attire unlike the sports bar I took her to last month where she thought the girls dressed like strippers.
How would she know what a stripper looks like? Anyway, she paid for lunch and that means she really likes it.
