you can take the girl out of Surrey but you can't take the Surrey out of the girl....
I hung out at Boston Pizza in high school - and I definitely went to it more than once to get drunk. That's what you did in South Surrey ok?
Every once in a while (it's seriously like once every 3 years) I just need that insane carbo-load that only boston pizza's baked fettucini alfredo can provide. tonight was one of those nights.
ordering online is super quick and easy, debit at the door with only the delivery guy to judge me for my insane pasta consumption. I'm glad I'm so close to this location for my 3 year fix. -

Gross. Why is the CRUST greasy? The toppings I get, it IS cheese, but it's as if the crust itself has been thrown into a deep fryer. And then dipped in oil. And then maybe sprayed with butter, all before the topping even begin. This may just be the worst pizza in Vancouver.
I shared an order of "cactus fries" and seeing absolutely no price for them on the menu anywhere (a picture and a description, but no actual price) we noted that yam fries were about $6, so this other variation of fries that also had a flavored dip must be about the same. We were wrong, and paid nine dollars for fries. We also paid three dollars for a freaking glass of 7up. Not impressed. -

I've gone to this particular Boston Pizza a few times since it's very close to my house. However, with that said, the main reason is due to it's close proximity and my laziness, rather then it being an "great" restaurant.
This Boston Pizza is a standard Boston Pizza location. The consistency of the food is what you would expect from location to location. This Boston Pizza was just renovated about a month ago, which was needed. It now looks a lot more up-to-date and welcoming than it was previously.
What I will give this location props for is speed. Every time I've come here, the food has come out blazingly quick. It could be for their Pasta Tuesday special (which usually makes it a busier night than other days of the week), a Saturday night dinner or Sunday brunch-like-time with lots of people, and the food is always served in just a couple of minutes--hot and ready to go. Other people on yelp have complained that their food was spoiled/burnt/etc.. However, after going several times, I have not experienced this issue. I will agree that the wait staff, hasn't always been the most attentive bunch compared to what I've had at other restaurants, but I wouldn't say it's disrespectful or cause for me not to go back.
Some Boston Pizzas have a very clear distinction between the bar side and the restaurant side. In this location, there is no real separation of this kind. As a result, since Boston Pizza restaurants are kid friendly, you will definitely see several families sitting throughout this location. This may be a little off-putting if you're looking to go here to unwind a bit with the possibly of being beside little kids which can be noisier.
Additionally, I have not seen a patio at this location. This seems a little odd to me, since they have a space on a terrace that you can look onto from inside the restaurant. However, there is nothing set up to use the space.
Overall, this is a standard Boston Pizza restaurant. The lack of a patio or distinctive bar side, are detractors, but the speed and consistency of the food and service make it an ok place to go. If it's a Tuesday, it's definitely a place to try for cheap pasta and garlic bread. However, for other nights, if I was looking for something of similar price and a little bit nicer environment, I would walk the extra 1-2 blocks to Joey's or Cactus Club on Broadway. -

Why the heck does this place have such bad reviews? Boston Pizza has some of the best chain pizza out there, AND has gluten-free crust options which is super rare for mainstream places. Yum!

Had a Friday lunch here with some colleagues. Shared a pierogi pizza (with bacon on the side, since I'm veggie) and had a beer. Very friendly and efficient service - the server even split our share of the bill without me having to ask. Nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about either!

The Boston Pizza restaurants I went all have the similar situations. The food is excellent but the service is really poor, especially this branch. They just disappeared after they took your orders. They would never refill and bring you the bills unless you ask them. This Boston Pizza is the one I dislike the most.

I really like Boston Pizza's Pizzas ... which is why I ordered several pizzas for delivery from the Main Street location. The experience was dismal and very upsetting ... since I had a group of business associates WAITING for the pizzas.
To start out with, the person who answered the phone could barely speak English. The phone appeared to be in a very busy location because there was constant noise in the background.
I had to give my address 3 times. The second time she told me my address was not on the map. Excuse me? My building has been here for 15 years, I have lived in this building for 10 years, don't tell me it does not exist.
It appears that the delivery person also didn't believe it existed because the pizza was not here an hour later. I phoned again to see what was happening. Same person ... said I did not answer the buzzer and would send delivery person again.
20 minutes later I phone again. This time someone who spoke English answered. Apparently the building did not exist because the first person took the address down wrong ... even after me telling it to her THREE times.
Once again the pizzas are dispatched. They arrived. COLD. Big Surprize.
They gave me 10% off for the trouble.
NEVER AGAIN. -

BIG mistake. OK, so they're kid-friendly but it really isn't worth it. The food is just awful. Burnt cheese on the nachos. Greasy pizza crust. Flavourless quesadilla. Bad pasta sauces. Over-cooked chips. Brown lettuce in the caesar. Fake raspberry sauce on the cheesecake. In fact I can't find anything good to say about it. I'm trying really hard...
Errr
Ummm
Ahhh
I know - At least the ice cubes in the drinks were nice and cold.
Oh, and it's not quite as awful as Swiss Chalet. But that's the best I can do. It makes me wish that the Yelp 'Good for...' survey questions had a checkbox for 'Nothing'. -

The restaurant is a storefront location making it a bit less spacious and cozy than a Boston Pizza you'll find at a standard just-outside-of-town business park.
We came here because my boyfriend's dad had a longing for the dry ribs. It must have been Father's Day or something because I didn't try to divert the dinner party to another location. If not for the Hallmark-created holiday I'd never have chosen to set foot in the place.
Service was fine and our server even had a bit of personality. Food, as always, is predictably palatable. Meh, indeed. -

Need a place to watch the game? Especially during the Olympics? Don't need to wait for lineups if you show up at a reasonable time?
Go to Boston Pizza - there are about 15 - 20 large screen TVs and on Semi final hockey day... I showed up at 4pm (game starts at 6:30) to be safe and the place was empty.. it was probably after 5pm before people started rolling in. Although I had been told that if my entire party wasn't there, I might have to give up my table but that never happened (thank goodness). Even during such a hectic night, our waitress was attentive and always kept our water glasses filled.
We ordered in rounds and although the kitchen was super busy at times, our food still came out reasonably.... the potato crisps were spicy.. not sure if that was the intent and the sauce actually cooled it down. The chicken stuffed pizza I ordered was filling and tasty...and although I love yam fries, I wasn't a fan of their skinny yam fries.... to skinny for me, not enough yam.
everyone else seemed to be pleased with what they ate. I think they have $10 pasta night on Tuesday, so you can't complain.......
Oh right.. and CANADA WON.. which meant they went to the gold medal game to BEAT USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
