Review from Liza B.
Vancouver, BC
Came here, tired, after a concert. It was relatively busy but late at night so there was little staff on. One lone waiter and one lone waitress were working in tandem and clearly run off their feet.
Food was pretty solid, the usual BP fare. Service was friendly but none too quick given the ratio of patrons to staff. I actually felt kind of bad for the poor guy who was run off his feet. But I wouldn't expect full staff on at midnight, either.
Restaurant was clean and close to home. Just a solid, standby late night joint! :) -

I have mixed reviews about this place. In the past 6 years I have probably been to this particular Boston Pizza at least 10 times. For the most part, my experiences have been okay, but for the purpose of this review I want to focus on two experiences in particular.
OK, we will get the bad review out of the way first. I came here one evening with my boyfriend to enjoy a night out. We were seated and shortly after a group of 3 were seated behind us. Even though there were about 3 servers and a bartender hanging out at the bar laughing it up and having a great time my boyfriend and I and the table behind us were not attended to for a good 30 minutes. No one would even acknowledge that we were sitting there and clearly interested in ordering. The table behind us asked if we had been helped yet and when we replied no we collectively tried to get someones attention. The servers were told the situation and one of the servers came up to my boyfriend and I and rudely said "OK well....I'm not your server but I guess I'll help you." Now when I reflect back on it, we really should have left at that point. However, we didn't, but it still makes me really angry when I think about it. As someone who works in customer service, you simply DO NOT speak to customers like that. I don't care if we weren't your table you can still treat us like guests until you guys get yourselves sorted out. I will add, however, that this happened about 3 years ago and I am sure they have had many servers come and go since then.
In my second experience (which actually happened the next time we came in after our bad experience) was a bit of a surprise to me. It was the usual...server takes our order, brings us our food, etc. Our server was quite pleasant but near the end of our meal she seemed to disappear. We waited and waited to ask her for our bill but she was no where to be found. We finally tracked down someone else (who actually wound up being one of the managers) to ask for our bill. He brought us our bill with 25% off because we should "never have to ask for our server." This, in my mind, made up for the major annoyance from the last visit!
Overall, restaurants like Boston Pizza are really going to be hit or miss when it comes to their staff, but I do like their food which is what keeps me coming back to this locations and others around the lower mainland. -

Yeah...gunna bump them down to 1 star.
4th time, hour and a half late for delivery. I'm not going to blame the staff....because it sounds like they were having a rough night. I tipped the delivery guy anyways, because this wasn't his fault.
The biggest problem here seems to be understaffing. They just don't seem to have enough people to support the orders they get. I called the manager and asked where my order was, and she sounded extremely stressed out.
I'm going to stop ordering from these guys. I don't want to wait an hour and half for my food...when I can get it for less then 45 minutes from somewhere else.1 Previous Review: Show all »

It was pretty good, it's been a while since I've tried BP and this location wasn't much different. Standard pub type styling as you'd find in any BP, nothing spectacular really.
Our server was speedy though, and talked like she'd finished at least 5 pots of coffee just a few minutes before(maybe she was hitting the bar! Who knows)
The food was pretty good, I tried the chicken Santa fe Stromboli, from the healthy choice section. For a whole grain dough it was actually really tasty.
Overall not bad, but not great either. -

I've had Boston's before and loved it everytime I went. This was also no exception. I ordered the Boston Cheesesteak, which came on fresh mozzarella baked bread with onions, mushrooms, green peppers, and a garlic like butter spread inside. It had au jus on the side, just to complete my heart attack. I got a side spinach salad. So there!!
I was in a hurry, so sat at the bar. Watched some sports, ate my meal, drank my lemonade. Who could complain. Great times, great food, I wish I had one of these closer to where I lived. But, I guess I'd have to get more salads if I did. :-) -

For a Boston Pizza, this place is pretty good. Mostly due to the nice server we had. I'm not usually a huge BP fan, so this experience was a pleasant surprise.
The best part was actually the beer. The lines were clean and it made a huge difference in the freshness of our frosty beverages. They tasted great!
The nachos were a little disappointing but were only $10. They could have used more topping and the cheese ended up stuck on the plate rather than the chips.
The bathroom was in good shape, but they have those stupid plastic seat cover machines that never work and don't really seem as sanitary as they would like you to believe. I'd rather hover than sit on crinkly plastic. Also, people need to learn to flush, but that's not the fault of this establishment. -Insert flushing rant here-
For a place to grab a few brews and watch a game, this place is decent. For a BP, this place is good. Oh and fresh parm for your pasta is available. Yum yum! Pasta Tuesday deals are also pretty good. -

Have lived in the area for 9 years and the food value has gone down in recent years. The portions are smaller, pasta more watery, and prices inflating with each year. This is definitely a last resort in the area since last call is at 1:45 am on weekdays.
