I'm always drawn to a visit to Books on Beechwood. A great selection! A lovely bookstore experience. They always have new books in the science section to interest me.

Beechwood is an upscale, well-educated, monied, hip neighbourhood just north of Vanier and east of the downtown core. If you had to make up the kind of bookstore that this neighbourhood deserves, you would create Books on Beechwood. It is more than just a store, it is the heart of the literary and entertainment of this district. There are posters for shows and readings on the windows and on the telephone poles outside the front door. Inside, it is a wonderland of good reading - literature, history, children's lit, bios, and more. And, get this, they deliver! If you love books and that literary atmosphere that all good bookstores should have, then you need to hit Books on Beechwood!

Indepedant, friendly and knowledgeable. A small book shop but covers a good variety. There is a good kids book section as well.
