After a horrible experience at Doux Crepes I have managed to find the BEST crepes in Vancouver.

This is the best and also a DOG FRIENDLY dine in place.  So far I tried chicken mayo and matcha red bean crepe and I think they were only $4 each.  There is a little area to dine in  although there are only 2 tables.  So far I have never had to line up and each time I pass by there is never a queue.  The service is fast and they are really generous with the fillings.  The texture of the crepe is perfect and never bland.  I'm actually eager to try every single item on the menu as I am now a big fan.

The guy working there is really nice to me and my cockapoo.  Love this little heavenly crepe place.

This has the best green tea soft serve ever! The matcha tea is bursting with flavor! I would come to Vancouver just for this lol. They also have it in a parfait form...next time!

It was a 5 star for me at one time.  In a way it still is.  Today I came and he still remembered me from the days he had a shop in Richmond.  I'm always glad to see him here working away in his little section of the Kombiniya doing his crepes Japanese style.

I snuck in a Pizza crepe before the Y could catch me eating one.  She herself had a choco banana crepe to go and a Matcha Icecream.  That was tasty!

This is my first time here and I must say the crepes are good. They pride themselves for having a mochi-like texture, soft and chewy. I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Crepe and Strawberry & Vanilla Ice Cream Crepe which went down instantly.

My only complaint is that 3 couples after me got their crepes before I did!! Not only that, when I inquired with the owner whether or not my crepes were ready, as he handed them to me he asked...did you pay yet??  What??? I paid 15 minutes ago when I ordered my food and have been waiting patiently. I highly suggest they give out numbers with receipts to keep track all of the patrons waiting outside. (minus 1 star)

    Check out my pics.

This place is friggin' amazing!  My first time was in the summer, I've always walked past it but never tried (was I crazy?  Yes I thought it was a strange window with crappy crepes).

I ordered a Green Tea Ice Cream with Red Bean whip cream.  Omgosh it was so good.  I think it was Mario's Gelato Green Tea, which is the best green tea ice cream.  The whip cream was more like red bean paste (I think the paste is homemade because the store bought paste is really too sweet and not as thick-so its good paste!) and a layer of whip cream.  Yes, the crepe was chewy for his "mochi-mochi" texture.

Yesterday, I had lunch but was still craving a crepe, so I came back.  I tried the Raspberry cheesecake crepe, which is a small slice of homemade cheesecake (fluffy and light) and raspberry sauce.  The sauce looked and tasted homemade also!

I think I will ditch the gym and go back today.

The chef is really nice and polite.

It's an almost secret place that I don't want to review or else it might get too busy.

Tucked within the amazing Japanese shop Kobiniya, this crepe stand is different than all the typical chain crepe places in downtown.

Sweet and savoury crepes, 'Japanese' style. My favourite one must be the matcha ice cream and red bean crepe. It's pretty yummy! Freshly made crepe, and a scoop of the matcha ice cream, with a sweet red bean paste. Add whipped cream on the top....and this is a perfect dessert or a quick snack for anytime of day!

I love Bon Crepe!!! C'est si bon!!! This Japanized creperie is what's missing in NY!!! We can't have everything, can we??This place reminds me of Japan, I miss creperies in Harajuku where you can find so many yummy variety of delicious fillings and toppings at such affordable prices. Bon Crepe is an amazing find, their crepe is 100 times better than the expensive and crappy crepes I had at Cafe Crepe on Granville St.!! Although it's just a tiny take out place with one Japanese chef making fresh crepes, he's quick and efficient. I love the texture of the crepe, it's slightly chewy and flavorful like the way I like it.  I absolutely loved my no.38, the caramel custard with whipped cream. To die for!!! Cho bakauma!!!! 5 stars!!!

Came back and tried the green tea ice cream with red bean crepe - even better than the vanilla ice cream one!  Definitely the place for desserts on Robson Street!

Look for it!!  Cause its totally worth it.

I don't know what they add to the filling, but the soft, fluffy, mochie like sweetness is worth the walk there.  We shared the cheesecake... I should have ordered my own!!  MINE MINE MINE :D

With only one guy working the counter and customers from both outside and inside of the store, my crepe turned out pretty good! It's the price that made me happy though; $3.80 for my Strawberry whip cream & milk crepe is pretty awesome. What's special was the chewy yet soft texture of the crepe; I really liked it over the ones at Cafe Crepe & Mazazu, but I can understand if it's not for everyone. Plus, it's not overly sweet; something I think is hard to find for me when it comes to buying sweets.

I've been coming here since its opening. Still the guy who makes and sells the crepe is super nice and reserve. He's polite and I like his customer service. Even when he gets busy, he will value me as a customer and then go to the next customer (which differs from other places like.... you pay and the cashier rudely said next! without thanking me as a customer. OK, let me say this to you "You are welcome"!).

Anyhow, I have tried their homemade caramel cheese cake, homemade strawberry cheesecake, homemade custard pudding, teriyaki chicken, chocolate cake and green tea ice cream with azuki(red beans) and whipped cream. My favorite has to be teriyaki chicken and the green tea with red beans ones!! Cheese cake with caramel sauce was also good.

Their crepe is very soft and chewy like mochi. I like that texture in whcih I couldn't get from mother's crepe (?) at the Aberndeen centre.
(and their cheese cake and chocolate cake crepes were not good).

I wish this place was open earlier than 13:00. And also I wish their portions were bigger.
Overall, I like the place and would like to try other flavors too.

My family has visited this place at least seven or eight times in the course of two vacations to Vancouver.  It has become our favorite destination for a quick and delicious dessert treat.  Bon Crepe consists of a tiny storefront window in the Konbiniya Japan Centre, which is an equally tiny Japanese market.  The window opens to the sidewalk of kitschy Robson Street.  There are a few chairs and a table or two inside the market.  The menu boasts a bewildering array of both sweet and savory crepes.  While we have only tried a small segment of them, we have definitely settled on some favorites. Unlike nearby La Bretagne and Cafe Crepe, all these packets of chewy goodness are less than $5!   You'll pay $8 or so at the other joints, so call the difference the added price of planting your fanny on a chair.  These crepes are Japanese in style.   Each one comes wrapped neatly in a triangular packet that really helps keep the mess down. They are somewhat lighter than French crepes, but have an amazing chewy texture.  The owner, a polite and friendly Japanese ex-pat, calls it a "mochi-mochi" texture.  Indeed, the chewiness does remind me of mochi.  He states that there is absolutely no mochiko in the batter, but guards his flour cominations as a proprietary secret.  Our entire family is absolutely hooked on the chewiness of these wonderful pockets!  You can get the obligatory Nutella, with or without fruits such as bananas or strawberries.  My son Nicholas, is gaga for the bananas and whipped cream with caramel.  I must admit, the taste is sublime and as a cheerful bonus, not overly sweet.  You also can't go wrong with a simple combo of whipped cream and sweetened condensed milk.  Oh, so chewy and rich!   My youngest son, Tyler loves the apple-cinnamon, which boasts sauteed apples that still have a fresh crunch.  Yummy.  If you want, you can have azuki (sweet red beans) or green tea ice cream.  How about custard, home-made and comforting?  Heck, he'll even put in your choice of a variety of cheesecakes!  Or ice cream, too!  I confess, I have not tried the savory crepes, but the teriyaki chicken mayonnaise sounds intriguing.  There is also a thai chicken and tuna-egg salad.  Of course, if your a French crepe traditionalist, you may miss the standard lemon-butter or Grand Marnier. These would be excellent additions to the menu for francophiles. Bon Crepe is a perfect addition to the trendy Robson scene.  Excellent fast food, but undeniably gourmet.  Just right if you are on the go.  So grab one and eat in style while you stroll Robson and people-watch.
