Very good authentic Indian food. Great lunch time buffet. Also do takeout. It's a little smallish for larger groups.

I would really give this place a 2.5 stars.
We were 8 in our party, and had made reservations, but probably didn't need them as the restaurant wasn't bustling. Typical Indian decor in here, which reminded me a bit of Haveli's in Bell's Corners, meaning it is nice - a little upscale in appearance. I might add that this place is a little difficult to get in and out of (ie: finding parking and exiting), as it is located in a little strip plaza behind a building that houses 2 local hi-tech companies. If you need to go north after exiting, you have to go south and pull a u-turn. However, there is plenty of parking.
At lunch during the week, they offer up a buffet, and it seems they expect their clients to take that buffet - but what they have on offer in the buffet is by no means extravagant. In fact it is kind of small! Two in our party were in the mood for something a little different as they had been to this restaurant recently, but the waitress got a little haughty at the proposal of ordering from the menu, although, she finally relented. The rest of is took the buffet. The food was ok, but not as wide a variety in the buffet as I had hoped, although it was plentiful (they refilled the hotplates while we were there). Also it was not as spicy as it could have been which suited me just fine. In other words, even I may have been able to tollerate the one dish that was labelled vindaloo. The two who ordered off the menu seemed to enjoy their meals.
When I saw that there were no samosas offered in the buffet, I placed an order (they come in a minimum of two). I have to say that these samosas were stellar! They raise the bar of expectations when ordering off the menu. Hopefully the rest of the menu items are as good as these! But based on this experience, I am not in a hurry to go back.
Perhaps I've been spoiled by the likes of Havelli?? -

Ok Indian food in the Kanata area. They have a daily lunch buffet were the butter chicken is good and the other items are ok.
The place is pretty small but they do take reservations.
Service is pretty good and the food goes fast so they do change up the buffet trays pretty often guaranteeing hot food!
If you have an extra 15-20 minutes to spare for lunch I'd recommend making the drive to Little India Cafe for their buffet, mainly due to their fresh naan!
