Review from Ryan R.
Ottawa, ON
Hands down the best bakery I've been to in Ottawa.
Offerings include cookies, miniature cakes, bread, buns, etc. They have a large selection of seasonal cookies which are a little expensive... but make a cute gift.
The bread is inexpensive, and they offer a large variety of bread types.
The offerings are simple, and delicious.

On an aside: I went to the bakery Jyotsna M. mentioned... and had a butter tart.... insanely horrible- Boko is the place to go to for sure. -

Boko Bakery has a sign up that says they were the #1 bakery in Ottawa, but I think Brown Loaf two doors down is better!
The chocolate croissant was just a regular croissant with a measly dollop of chocolate in the middle - nothing special. The danishes are of lesser variety and don't move as quickly. However, they do have a wide array of pies in small and large sizes that are well-priced and look pretty good. Might be worth trying this week of Thanksgiving! -

Boko's mini apple pie is the worst pie I've ever had. Actually, it ties Brown Loaf for the worst. The pies smell funny, is that lard? Would it kill them to use some butter and cinnamon? I threw it out. I'm done with Boko. Two stars not one because their bread seems fine.
