The ambience & view & patio were all sublime.
Love the jazz music playing in the background.
However, the tables were so sticky i could not rest my arms on them.
An organe juice & caramel machiato came out to $11.89 - is that normal? I guess we are in downtown false creek.
Also, the cashier was korean and could not understand what I was saying. We stood there repeating things back and forth, me talking really slow, for a while. I originally was asking her to blend an odwalla drink in a blender with ice (like they do @ JJ Bean).
She was definitley nice, but it was just really hard to communicate with her - which is something I think you need if you're dealing with customers? -

Hmmm, haven't tried their coffee -- yet...
I am quite picky, we shall see if it satisfies me in the future (that's if I go back).
Anyhow their banana bread blows! So not moist and yummy. What a great day it was when my friend dragged me into the Canucks store, with lame banana bread... :[
There was an Asian girl working there, and didn't really know what my friend was asking for. This could turn ugly if someone asked for a non-fat, no foam, extra hot, half syrup(ed) latte, and got a homogenized, cold, extremely sweet drink. Thankfully my friend just got hot chocolate and banana bread.
The only good thing is the ambiance, and there are rarely people in there (I went Sunday mid-morning) which I just love. The sun pours in through the glass (if it happens to be sunny that day), and it's gorgeous. The patio is great in the summer, not so much now in the colder months. I don't dig the view of False Creek, but that's just me. Also, they are not open that late, I glanced at the hours of operation and I believe it was 5 or 6pm, so not so great for studying or late-night munchies. Go there, order the cheapest drink (probably a glass of water), and enjoy the view. -

Gorgeous inside! Like a very old fashioned kitchen, with a nice range of places to sit. My latte was extremely bitter, which was not quite to my taste, and so I didn't finish it. Alas, as it was pretty big too!
But the menu seems large and varied! -

Someone needs to explain to me why coffee is so expensive. And unfortunately Bojangles is no different. I don't like Starbucks, but respect the need to create consistency (especially after you've lived abroad), but the cost of consistency is ridiculous, and that's the problem with Bojangles. They charge Starbucks prices and deliver poorly on consistency. 2 different days, 2 completely different tasting lattes. If I'm going to be paying $5 for a friggin coffee, it better be good every time I get it.
The one things Bojangles does have though, is location, location, location. Great spot down on the marina (same goes for the Coal Harbour location). So if you want overpriced coffee that may or may not be good, and to sit in the sun at a great spot, Bojangles is for you. -

Loved the cafe for:-
-the location is convenient and the view is not bad either.
-love the set up, the decor etc.
Other customers were a decent bunch.
-the food is good . The coffee was good .
-I sat there for a few hours and no one bothered me.
-free wifi - solid.
Would definitely spend more weekend afternoons there reading a book or surfing. So why just 3 stars?
I have seen friendly staff. And this wasn't one. There was no problem , i had no issues at all. But a part of my experience is the people around me , or i would just sit home look at the water from my own balcony and have a coffee. The cashier did not smile or say hello. There was no line behind me, it was slow he was not busy.
If I find one friendly employee here I will review again. -

The cafe is perfectly located on the sea-wall, and is ideal for the brunch on a sunny day, that and the fact, that my friends used to live next doors had me go their quite a few times. But I must say the food here doesn't justify the price. Just to clarify, I don't have issue with the portion; it's the taste that let me down. The espresso felt bitter somewhat burnt, and the scrambled eggs feel dry and lack seasoning. On the upside the waffles here are definitely worth going back for.

Ok, I'm giving a one-star review, but I will probably give Bojangles another chance. And if/when I do, I will re-review it.
Preface: It's a blissful summertime Sunday morning. I have been stretching, breathing, and opening new chakras atop green grass and overlooking beautiful water with the sun smiling down on me.
Life is pretty good, and I'm thirsty. So after yoga, a group of us went to Bojangles for food and drinks. I was thinking of getting juice, but I saw a picture for a espresso/banana blended drink. Reminding me of one of my favorite old haunts (see Flipnotics in Austin, TX), I immediately went for it.
At the register, I told the cashier that I would like the espresso banana drink seen in the picture. She rang me up, and then I waited. It was a bit of a wait, and I understand because it's Sunday brunch time and they were crowded. Then it happened- I was presented with a hot steamy banana latte? So I told them, this isn't what's in the picture- it's supposed to be cold. They stare at me blankly (come on, customer service, you can do it!). Since they didn't offer, I asked them to remake it. They said they would, but that it wouldn't be fair to remake my drink when there were people in line (not sure why- the cashier wouldn't be affected from handling the line). So a look at the line reveals that it's out the door. I look back- they stare at me blankly. Then the lady uses a finger to push the boiling hot banana latte towards me. So I take it, and then throw it away without so much as a sip.
So my one star is totally for service. Gah, I understand that you're busy. I understand that it sucks to have to re-do something. I understand that picky annoying customers are a pain in the ass. But you made me feel like an ass- just for asking that my drink be what I ordered in the first place. Then you wouldn't help me. It really made me sad. I would like my tip back please. Do you not realize that if you had remade my drink, that I would have thanked you profusely and left you a larger tip?
On a product note- the icy blended drinks that I was after, looked AMAZING. So despite my hurt feelings (maybe after therapy?) I will return to try one. Also, the patio is set up with a gorgeous view of False Creek. -

I love saying the name Bojangles. The café is named after a jazz busker and the jazz theme lives on in the dishes they serve. Consistency for a chain is important, but since this is only a chain in the Lower Mainland, I'm impressed with how good it is. Serving light -fare, small bites and delicious bagels and soups and chili, it's a comfy cozy place to gather for a meeting by the fireplace. I like sitting on the oversized couches and in the summer taking outside on the patio. The view here by the marina is especially gorgeous.

The young lady at the front counter of Bojangles Cafe was genuinely sweet, which, let's be honest, is difficult to find sometimes. I came in for a coffee and I noticed how spacious and comfortable it was inside. Reflections of Jazz music history are high up on the walls and an outside patio looks over the street to the Yaletown harbour. Along side great coffee, they serve a variety of light lunch options, pastries and gelato, in flavours like green tea and oreo cookie. I will definitely be stopping by for brunch as well sometime very soon! Yummmmmy!
