Review from Roanna Z.
We were invited join a "surprise" party for a friend turning 50. She had been (tormented) throughout the day with a special "to do" list. When we arrived she was sporting an enforced costume including a tiara, festive Mardi Gras bead necklaces and hula skirt. Oh and a "Blue" drink ;-) Bogart's offers a variety of Martini flavours.
There were 10 of us easily accommodated by joining a few tables. Our server handled each new surprise guest with ease and finesse.
A few of us ordered the Steak and Fritz appetizer, as well as the Caesar Salad. These were very tasty.
There is outdoor seating available on a front patio, which I imagine is more fun on a warm night. Bogart's is an upscale restaurant and bar. There is a room that can be reserved and enclosed with classy curtains that looks to have a capacity of perhaps 15-20 persons, the bar is long and antique, the floor is hardwood.
Bogart's has old world charm and new world class. -

We just had dinner at Bogart's and I was less than impressed. My wife ordered the grilled caesar salad while I had the french onion soup. The salad was fine, but the french onion soup was served luke warm. For mains we had a prime rib and the lamb shank with risotto. The risotto was mushy with a single note of mushrooms. The lamb shank was very well cooked, but terribly under seasoned.
We chose not to have dessert as the selection looked uninteresting.
Service was friendly and warm but we will likely not return. -

Bogart's is one of my usual choices when I want to go somewhere a little more upscale. Steaks are their specialty. I cannot comment about any of their other food because honestly I've never tried anything but their steaks.
If you're really into your steaks, they have a wide variety of choices and they always seem to cook them exactly they way you ask for it. Their sides are also tasty. They come with some nice roast veggies and your I usually go for the mashed potatoes to go with it. Their desserts I've tried have all been good and they have a number of nice specialty Irished-up coffees to compliment them.
The ambiance is pretty much what I look for if I want to go out on a romantic date or to celebrate a very special event. I like to be seated off in a dark corner to make the most of the candlelight. They also have live jazz Thursday through Sunday evenings.
Bogart's is a bit pricier than what I usually go for. It's more a place I might go to on special occasions. That being said, it's not crazy expensive like Lumiere with most mains priced $20-30. They usually have a chef's special too.
