A few of my favorite things to do in Nanaimo, other than the free clams and oysters I get to dig up and the rather exhilarating gooey duck hunting, is gorging up baked goods at Bodhi Bakery. Their breads are one of the many reasons I drool at night.
The cost? Be prepared to wake up early to pick up your breads, especially during the weekends. My recommendations: the raisin bread and the cheese bread. (Depending on availability) Yes....the scones, cinnamon buns and practically everything else they make is ridiculously good too, so bring your credit card and be prepared to rack up the bill.
If you have guests over for breakfast, these guys will make you look good, so paying the extra money is worth it.
