10% OFF!
While I was there the last time, I found that they offer a 10% discount on take out orders. This comes in handy as we never dine in and always take out since Bodhi Choi Heung is a place where we come to stock up on vegetarian Chinese BBQ called Jai Lo Mei, for which they are known.
At $9 for a large portion of Jai Lo Mei, you will get the soy version of the following items: Roasted Duck, BBQ Pork, Curried Pig Stomach, and Marinated Liver. Even though I'm not a vegetarian, I still love this combo dish. My favorite is the soy BBQ Pork because it mimics the sweetness of real BBQ Pork.Listed in: C-A-N-A-D-A

Dinner for 2 less than $30.00
Best -- deep fried appy. We ordered a taro and bean curd (with sweet & sour sauce on side) and a Bean curd with seaweed and assorted mushrooms also deep fried.
Good -- eggplant and tofu hot pot. Lots of eggplant mostly without the skin. Nothing fancy but a nice veggie dish
Congee with mushrooms, bean curd and sweet corn. Nice basic congee
Noodle soup with mushrooms, black fungus, bean curd & corn. Good broth not alot of msg
Not a fancy modern fusion type but a basic down to earth vegetarian restaurant. Good price for good food. Recommend the deep fried appy. -

Thankfully, our co-diners speak Cantonese, so we had no problem ordering our lunch today. We were the first people in the restaurant, and received prompt, attentive service. As a fully vegetarian restaurant, we got to sample lots of faux meat dishes, and had a fantastic time!
Perhaps we over-indulged on the fried dishes, but everything was delicious. Lots of bean curd and the like - although I felt like I was in a bit of an MSG coma afterward. I would love to go back and try more dedicated vegetable dishes, as opposed to the appies we consumed.
What made me smile the most was when the waitress looked at the white boy with the three Asians and asked, "Fork?" That's me. We giggled, and I managed just fine with my chopsticks. Will definitely be back! -

Certified Buddhist vegetarian restaurant with dishes and combos for a great value.
Food: I recommend this as a vegetarian restaurant but not as a restaurant in general. Some of the dishes are 4/5 but many of sauces tasted the same (even though we ordered a variety of dishes).
I enjoyed the deep fried milk balls and broccoli with orange sauce.
Atmosphere & Service: Medium danky interior in need of a face lift but the friendly service makes up for it. -

The grown-ups liked the food, but it was a little too authentic for our kidlets. The food had a lot of Chinese five-spice in it, and our wee ones didn't particularly enjoy it. I think it would have been a better experience if we had known the menu a bit better.

Took food out to eat, didn't eat in. However, the appetizer was the best I've had from a Chinese vegetarian restaurant! Included pan-fried bean curd skin, sweet & sour gluten, BBQ pork... mMM the flavor was dead-on! Not too oily not too salty. Bean curd with pea shoots was also a good dish.

December 2008, I was there with a veg friend and we had a few appies, a few main dishes and it was ALL good!
