I find myself trying to love this place, but it fell a little short of my expectations.
This was the second place I tried on dresses, and didn't really get the experience I was looking for. The girl seemed a little rushed (yes, it was a Saturday, but I was also hoping to find my wedding dress, and would have been willing to buy right then and there), and she seemed annoyed at my 3 bridesmaids, who were brutally honest (which I asked them to be!).
When you first walk through the show room with the staff member you can select the dresses you want to try on. I didn't look at all the price tags (my bad!), and ended up trying on may too many dresses that were impossibly out of my price range - i.e. a $4000 dress, when I had stated my budget to be under $1200. I would have appreciated her telling me before I put them on so I didn't fall in love with such an expensive dress.
I ended up liking (not loving) one dress, but couldn't bring myself to buy it, as the whole day just felt stressed.
I do like that they give you spanx to wear while you try on the dresses - makes it a lot easier to slip them on and off when you're in a hurry. I also REALLY appreciated that they sent an email after the appointment with photos of my top 3 dresses.

Had a hard time getting a hold of this store for a week, to make an appointment. When I finally did, I outlined that I was looking for a wedding dress and wanted to check out the Donna Morgan dresses they carry. They're the only supplier listed for BC and when I outlined this, I was told appointments aren't necessary to look at the cocktail dresses.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was directed to the back where most of the dresses are. I outlined what I was looking for and my price range. As this is a more expensive boutique, there were very few dresses in my price range and none that matched what I was looking for. The dresses that were available were not in my size and so that made things look even worse. It was outlined that as they're doing construction in the store, lots of dresses have been placed in storage and were not available. I was pretty choked after driving for an hour and a half through traffic to learn this. Especially as I had made the appointment two days earlier. That ended the bridal portion of our visit.
We went back out to the cocktail dress section and looked through what was available. I couldn't find any DM dresses and upon asking, found out that they were also in storage. And to add to it, I was told with a sneer that they only had a couple and they were on sale.
I understand that this is a typical West Vancouver boutique store with higher prices, but information about the majority of stock not being in store should definitely be shared with customers before they waste their time. -
