Where do I start? This early 70's apartment complex has gone WAY DOWNHILL. I've been here for 8 years and cant wait to move out! The new ownership a few years ago brought a stream of new on-site managers who could not keep up with the work. Five Star Holdings, the new owners don't seem to give a damn.
The current managers are HORRIBLE. The repairs and renovations made are completely shoddily done.. Everything they do here is done poorly. Getting things fixed takes forever, if done at all. Our fridge is running at 50 degrees (should be maximum 40) and food is spoiling, yet they insist the fridge is in good working order even after I showed them the thermometer readings. THEY ENTER YOUR APARTMENT WITHOUT NOTICE!!!! They turn off the water-- WITHOUT NOTICE! They LIE about why the water is turned off, saying it is the North Van district was doing repairs which I confirmed with the water department.. it was a complete falsehood.
I have been yelled at, as have many of the other renters here, by the manager who has no problem being rude. He defends everything he does as it is someone else's mistake. There is no accountability at all.
I AM SO HAPPY TO BE MOVING!!!!
