Blue Tree Cafe in Coal Harbour is hands-down, my favorite local haunt for good coffee, a cozy-chic atmosphere, great lunch offerings, WiFi and people watching.
The staff are really friendly and get to know the 'local' customers, making it a great little 'familiar' place to escape the home office set-up (if you're like me!) or catch some sun on the patio tables out front.
Love the freshly-made sandwiches (West Coast Tuna Avocado) and soups and a plethora of pastries and baked goods... -

If you are in need of a quick and easy breakfast consider Blue Tree. For $3.80 you can get what essentially amounts to an egg McMuffin but one that doesn't taste like greasy cardboard and bad decisions. That is a win in my book. Hot fluffy egg, American cheese and thin sliced ham. Plus 15 minutes after eating it I wasn't rolling around on the ground, clutching my stomach, crying why me.

Was down in the area, searching for somewhere new, and Yelp provided :)
Nothing super special - ordered a latte, medium (small was....too small), creamy enough. Also ate a regular choc chip cookie, which again was how I expected it (and managed to make it last all day, big cookie was big). My boyfriend ordered an iced mocha which he gave 2 thumbs up.
Nice enough place, a shame it's not on the waterfront. -

Blue Tree Cafe is a small, cozy coffee shop in Coal Harbour. They are very friendly and make a great soy latte. They serve breakfast until 11am and also serve sandwiches. Blue Tree Cafe offers free wifi. If you are staying at the Westin Bayshore, make sure to swing by this great little cafe.

We were staying at the westin and didnt want to spend $15 on wifi so we walked over here for breakfast. It was pretty busy and we sat for quite a while watching people come in and out. Their internet was frustratingly slow. Our food came out in no time but I saw some people wait 15 to 20 minutes for their drinks and then another 10 minutes for a sandwich. Maybe come here when it isn't busy and the internet will be a bit faster and you won't have to wait so long for your order.

Loved the coffee here. I like really strong-flavoured Americanos. So unless I was unusually in need of coffee so it tasted better, seems they do something a little different that makes it better.
Jug of tap water also is yummy-lemony.
It's the little things :)
Didn't try food this time.
Also wasn't using internet. Around the corner though I know Cafe Villagio (sp?) has decent internet, if that's your priority.
